well today i went to a metro pcs store and i asked about the update for the rebooting issue and im guessing they didnt know what i was talking about and they said that the only thing they knew about updates was that ice cream sandwich will be released at the end of January or beginning of February i wonder if this is true i was surprised when they said 4.0 was coming for the esteem

I saw a post on LG's facebook, I actually think it was made by spc I saw it on another forum, and the moderators said the revolution was getting it.

lol, yeah i just recently searched online and it seems that the revo is getting it thus giving us a big chance for esteem to get it as Metro is trying to push the ics upgrade to our latest handsets...

as long as you didnt freeze the mobilecare.apk you can still recieve updates.

yes, but if i was you i would freeze it just in case lg make the ZVC update OTA like they did ZVB.

thanks i was going to ask how stop the update i now know i have to freeze it thanks my esteem should be here monday never again use standard shipping takes forever

yes back at stock and fully bloated with all the metro apps, and ZVC can't be rooted.

yes as this rom was customize, and the stock romhas all that junk in there.

yep, cm9 will be better as i been running it on a tablet also.

With the official update you will lose root and we will most likely have to figure out how to root it again. If you are talking about PG's CM9 Rom then no you will not lose root.
