Alright.. Here's the thing... Who's going to the Superbowl this year and how do I watch it on my prevail? Give your opinions.. No arguing.

LOL, I live here in Indy, but I'll be watching from home...wish the Colts were going...

I thought that I heard that the NFL was going to be streaming it live.

I wonder if Boost/Sprint would block streaming the S.B. due to Verizon's deal with the N.F.L.?

And about the streaming.. do you Need flash or something of that nature? Or have to buy this streaming package or something? I'm rarely around a TV or comp so my PREVAIL comes in handy.

No problem...just keep sprinkling a proper Prevail reference in here and there .

Since the website says "...will be available on the league's and network's websites and through Verizon's NFL Mobile app.", I'm guessing a browser and flash should take care of it.

Mobile viewing on the Prevail (see what I did there? ) should be helpful for those folks stuck at work and/or away from a big screen (like the guy on the commercial who is on a date and keeps checking the game on his phone (i.e., "the summoner" guy, LOL)).

If you watch it using the web browser(it may need flash to do so but lucky us the Prevail has flash available) boost/sprint could not do anything to stop it.
And since boost is unlimited data they would not charge you more.

Streaming over the browser using Wi-Fi would work, but with me, I have to work and our plants Wi-Fi is encrypted so it's going to be slow going with 3g.
Verizon's N.F.L. app is also blocked from our use. The only N.F.L. app available is the "official" one, but it doesn't support streaming.
I'll see if I can go into my market emulator and see if I can get the Vzw app to pop up.

The manufacturing plant where I work has about 3 or 4 layers of encryption to protect the machines and SCAN/SPIN systems. TKIP, WPA, WPA2 and so forth. I get along good with the I.T. Chief, but there is no way that I'm going to even attempt to log in to the Wi-Fi there. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I take it that at work you are not getting 1mb down speeds?
I believe you could stream over 3g if you had close to the 1mb down marker.

Nope, not even close to it. The building was built back in the 20's and is like a fortress, plus there is so much interference from the machines that at times its like an E.M.P. went off.

I just used open signal maps to see where my tower is... 1/4 of a mile away. 400 down 200 up. 115 ping. Sad sad sad..

At home I get good download speeds on 3g and Wifi. The only issue that I had before my computer died was a few router issues, but usually my Charter speeds were decent.


Edit: I have looked high and low for the Verizon N.F.L. .apk just to be able to see if it can be side loaded. Market Enabler didn't work, but I'll try Rapidshare or Media Share.

I was always told that if you can't say anything good about someone then don't say anything at all, but it's getting harder and harder to deal with it...

I got the hardrive fixed, but apparently my Ex changed the Adm account to her before I booted her. She disabled all of the antivirus, and messed it up bad... Trojans galore... She was irritated that I busted her cheating on F.B.!!!!! Good riddance, but she messed up my ROM experiments.....
