Hey i got an lg esteem about a month ago and i rooted it, one day i was trying to change the boot animation on it, i did it correctly but the animation i used didnt allow my phone to completely boot and now i cant use it at all because every time i turn it on it gets stuck on that stupid boot animation, is there anyone or anyway i could completely wipe everything on it or reset it or whatever it takes to make it work again, i would greatly appreciate it

Edit; I saw somewhere how to get out of the bootloop, let me search but if you have cwr;

Did you installed cwr , if so you could just wipe data/factory reset or restore to previous rom. Also you could flash a new boot animation through cwr.

If you don't have it I believe you can put the phone into recovery mode by holding power button and volume rockets for few secs, then you connect to PC and restore.

What exactly is cwr? The only thing i tried is to factory resetting/wiping the data by turning it off and holding the volume up and down buttons but it didn't take of the bootloop, i didnt know there was a way to connect it to a computer while it had a bootloop

Cwr is a custom recovery made to flash customized Roms like cm7 and such , kernels , themes , mods and and also backups. Its very important for rooted phones ...

Edit; make sure you get into fast boot by holding power button and volume rockets while your phone is off. Try performing a factory reset again

factory reset wont fix it as it will not add back what was changed in system jusy wipe data, cache, n sd-ext.

you will need to get a copy of the stock bootanimation and adb push it to /system/media/bootanimation.zip.

You might try fix permissions too.

Hi, i'm new to Android OS, and I recently saw some videos on YouTube for cool esteem features and capabilities, and noticed that the homescreens in all the videos i watched rotated....mine doesn't. What am I lacking or missing? I've already rooted my phone. My SW is currently MS910ZVB & Android version Gingerbread 2.3.4.

Do you mean that you have seen videos showing the esteem flahed to a new rom? Or are you talking about the launcher which there is an effect that the screen rotates.?

Nonetheless, have you flash cwr on your phone yet?

A video i happened to watch was a demo of the microHDMI, and the guy would rotate his phone while it was connected. Whenever he would rotate his phone, his homescreen would rotate accordingly. I'm not sure what flash cwr is or means, could you explain or link me to more info on it?

Check out WidgetLocker or the newer GO Locker on the market. You can choose and change your lock screen to all kinds of styles.

Well certainly, when you connect the HDMI cable to your phone within HDTV you get to see your phone's display in the TV. You Just need to connect the cable to the phone and then go settings > connectivity and then enable HDMI. You should then see the display in the TV. Also if you want the phone to auto rotate, go to settings > display and enable auto rotate. This will rotate the screen depending on the angle and its going to show in the TV as well.

However, if you flashed some old kernel that has the HDMI broken then go here and flash this new kernel so it works again. ;
