Not sure if this is the right section to post in as I have a slightly off topic question.

I'm looking to replace my desire as I have had it for nearly 2 years. The natural phone to get would be a sensation or galaxy s2. But these phones are too big, I don't need a 4.3" screen.

So I'm after a phone that is similar size to the desire but with a higher spec such as dual core and 1gb RAM.

So far, I found a Motorola atrix which meets my requirements, are there any others?

Thanks

if you can, buy a phone outright and get giffgaff. all providers have hidden caps now on mainstream contracts. they have to due to rinsing the 3g networks dry

Do giffgaff have no caps then? I'm currently on T-Mobile with 3gb cap. On a heavy month I can do abou thalf that. And that must have happened at least twice.. So I don't envisage it happening too often.

I have briefly looked into giffgaff and I always assumed "unlimited" had some fair usage policy as per-usual.

Theres always fair usage. O2 until the iPhone 4 was released was 20GB, which is what I have. When I upgrade, I'll lose that. My missus went simplicity and will keep this forever and I wish I did the same but money was the issue..

Would love to giff gaff but it would mean staying with the desire for considerable time

So your missus got the rolling Simplicity deal? So moods of the 20gb allowance until the next upgrade? Nice. I think I'm lucky for having the 3gb T-Mobile offer compared to dome of the other poor offers. 500mb? It's a slow month for me at best!
When I come to upgrade, data allowance is definitely playing a major role. Oh well. Another 8 months yet!

Going to get a new phone soon too... I always buy a contract free phone so need to do a few weeks of saving up ^_^

Was thinking about the Atrix 4G... but like posted above it's pretty old...

Anyone have any recommendations? Screen size doesn't matter too much to me, 3.7 or more and I'm happy...

Need Dual core + plenty of memory... :p anything new coming out?

Yeah exactly, obviously ima have to see what it looks like.
I liked the sound of the Razr, but then saw it.
Too big for me.

I'd be surprised if I went away from HTC. If I was to, I'd prob go with another biggie like Samsung. But then again, as long as it has the hardware which makes me dribble, and Android, what do I care? :D
And a healthy dev community I think. Not sure I will gauge that though.
