How do I find my Bionic's serial number?

I found numbers starting with "HEX" & "DEC".

Any help is appreciated.

IMEI: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Not sure which one would be the serial number.

Wouldn't it also be on the phone electronically?

I'm trying to register with Motorola to be a tester for ICS on my Bionic and they need my serial number.

They are looking for either the MEID or the IMEI. Both are valid serial numbers. Both are in settings->about phone->status. At least one of them should also be on the sticker under the battery.

One thing of note, when I do the *#06#, that serial number is one digit short as compared to the IMEI under the battery and/or using Settings > About Phone > Status.

I just entered the longer number. Hopefully I'm part of the ICS test.

Under my battery and in phone settings, my Bionic shows 15 digits. When I dial: *#06# it cuts the last number off. In Motorola's instructions it said that it should be a 14 digit number, so I went with that.

Does anyone have any insight into why the numbers are different?

It has been kicked around for a while. No explanation was ever provided.

My missing number is a 6.

Actually, I spoke to Matt (Motorola forum monitor) and he said they wanted the SHORTER (by 1 digit) number when I needed to enter it for the soak tests.
