Well this is the forums so you will see more support topics than usual which is true for any product. Go over to the iPhone forums and you will see plenty of people posting about problems they are experiencing. As with any new device there are always those few devices that will experience problems.

Don't forget also that a lot of these devices are ones that have been shipped from overseas and are not configured to work with AT&T out of the box. Moral of the story - don't try to form a judgment by the few posts you see here.

Over a million galaxy notes have been sold and I can assure you there are many more completely satisfied customers than there are the few who are experiencing problems and seeking help here on the forums.

I'm going to have to agree with Fred G. I absolutely love my Note, and have yet to experience any problems with it. It's by far the best smartphone I've ever owned, I couldn't be happier.

There are lots of negative posts because people like to moan, people don't have a clue, people have unrealistic expectations, because like any device it isn't perfect and some of it's deficits affect some people more than others based on their use etc etc.

The Note is a great phone. Check the review at my blog if you want the most detailed and objective review on the Note and make up your own mind.

Im highly critical of my devices and Id have to say I have no complaints about my Note. Only thing lacking now is Ice Cream Sandwich but we all know it's coming soon

The better a device, like the Note, the more the Bots and Trolls try to rubbish it which is why there are so many negative posts. They won't succeed, for the American carriers know how good it is and are queuing up to get it.

I've had the Note for five weeks now and cannot complain about anything... The speaker is just as good as in SGS2, alarms and ringtones are easily audible even in noisy environment.

Had my Note since Friday and it is a cracking phone. I've come over from iOS5 just for a change really. I'm still finding my feet again with Android. The screen is great, not retina, but still excellent. The actual size takes a bit of getting used to but that will come.

I would say Android is quirky. I have had a couple of newbie issues, but have asked about these in another thread. I would say the only thing that I find a little disappointing is when the screen dims, its not very fluid and that the white is not brilliant white.

The new Android 4.0 looks great, although the current one is new to me.

Add me to the list of users loving the Note, but forums are a place for getting problems solved so that's a lot of what you'll find here. For a well-rounded opinion of the device, you should seek out reviews. Amazon.com is a good place to read owner impressions and the reviews there are very positive.

I have it and I just can't put it down. Amazing phone. But it needs a well designed case. Personally I want a wallet / bill-fold type leather case, but with a protective flap between the screen and the credit-cards; so far none like that seems to exist.
And/or a case similar to the iPhone BoxWave Keyboard buddy ( adds a slideout keyboard to the phone).

A lot of reviews around that only focus on the positive points and all of them never really mention any pitfalls like the video playback issues (even the advertized review above fails to cover this) and the screen lottery, aside from those then a really great device.

The video issue is the biggest downer for me and Im getting a refund and will probably repurchase once it is absolutely fixed by samsung and not someone else.

I bought this phone yesterday & I can't help but noticing some screen noise when playing video contents... Especially with dark backgrounds.. Is anyone experiencing the same thing????
