UPDATE: This is with Factory Rom(touchwiz)

Ok so I got the bug fix around 5pm-ish CST. The update took a couple of minutes and here are my thoughts at 8pm.

The good:
1. Love the new boot animation with the Samsung logo instead of the Android logo as the graphic is much better done and looks very nice on this screen compared to the Android logo and its jagged edges.
2. I already had the evernote app downloaded, so what happened is now it no longer shows up in the download folder.
3. New settings menu. Great they added a couple of things to the settings menu. Under Phone Settings, they added "Use wireless networks" above GPS to aid in location. Before this was only accessible via the voice dialer or google maps. And they added "About Phone" which again was only accessible by the voice dialer.

The unknown:
1. Battery life. As I've only had the update for a couple of hours, I'll have to get back to everyone on that.
2. Vibration: Hasn't happened yet, which is one of the big things I was having issue with when I would get a txt msg or wouldn't check it soon enough

The Bad:
Dont know, maybe just a fluke, I hope. I had the browser open to a blank page(I hit stop before it could load web2go), from the notification bar turned on wifi and poof, phone rebooted. Though it wasn't a complete reboot(with behold II, then tmo, then samsung logo). It simply went back to the Samsung logo and came back. Once back, I checked wifi, which was already set to on and I was able to connected and go on my happy way.

So I'd say things are looking good, though of course too soon to say officially. Still gotta see if they fixed the issue with bluetooth file transfers.

Well I tried out bluetooth file transfer app. It still will pop up saying the Behold II is unsupported til Android 2.0, but it no longer force closes when bluetooth is turned on. I didn't have any other bluetooth devices on hand to test file transfers though.

I tried to see if the phone would vibrate uncontrollably as it would when it was set to periodically notify of a text message. I've let the phone sit there and chirp at me about 6 times and still good.

So far looks like the bug fix fixed everything it set out to do. Though I still take issue with how images are displayed and what happens when you zoom in. Instead of displaying more detail, since these are 5mp images, they simply pixelate.

Side note, Tmo updated the My Account app. Its about the same, but now it has two icons. T-Mobile My Account goes to v3.0: Android updates to follow?

Some more info

1) The old behaviour was any of the face keys would show the phone lock screen(date, time, etc). the new behaviour now only allows the end call key and cube key to display the lock screen. Probably part of their extended battery life fix.
2) Now when phone is fully charged, it says "Fully Charged", not 100%. And they fixed the issue with it saying 95% once it was unplugged.

So far so good I'd say, though there is one thing I've seen happen twice(out of what, the hundred times its done). When I press the lock key so I can unlock the phone, the screen will display for like a split second, static. The only way I can describe it is you know when on a PC, you change the resolution and the image flickers and you get for a split second, all the colors everywhere? Its like that. Very weird, but like I said, I've only seen it happen twice out of all the other times I unlock the phone.

What's the Kernel Version?
From the new About Phone menu:

Kernel version
2.6.27
root@sep-36 #1
Sat Jan 16 21:15:14 KST 2010 <--- Hmmm so about six week time span from build to release. Though this doesn't count how long it took for them to develop it, just maybe to test it. Which sounds like a reasonable amount of time.

Build number
76XXCSDCBALUM6375

...I have a nexus :p

Shouldn't the moderator of this forum have a BH2? lol :p

I'm telling you besides a camera phone thats more camera then phone like my Sony Ericsson K850i, this is the best android phone for taking pictures. Next they need to work on taking hd video and then include dlna certification. Now that would be a nice phone.

This happens to me without the bug fix.
