So I dunked my ms690 in milk. It works. Hoooooowwwwweverrrrrrr.... the hardware keys on the front are constantly overreacting. Lots of searches and menus are popping up randomly. Anyone know of any good soft key-disabling apps? Or even a new ROM with this magical lack of need for the bottom keys? I have insurance on it but I am just too broke to get that handled right now (c'mon, I mean, I do have metro...). I am not rooted, but can be if needed.

Any help would be fantastic. Otherwise, I can wait till I get moneys to just get it taken care of.

I see in the thread tags you put water damage, shouldn't it be "milk damage"? Haha that's a first :p

I don't think a ROM would fix this, the problem is that the milk damaged your hardware on your phone so it will continue to malfunction, if you have insurance then go to a metropcs store so that they can give you another phone. I'd assume you wouldn't have to pay anything because you say you have insurance.

Good luck

unfortunately even with insurance you have a deductible. mine was like $80 last i knew. but i think you can get a new phone for like 90 or 100 or something cheep like that. insurance just doesnt seem worth it on this phone anymore.
