Best Android Phone from Boost

Boost seems to have a few Android phones in the pipeline. Any thought on the new lineup?

LG Marquee
ZTE Warp
Samsung Replenish
Samsung Transform Ultra

What's the top phone out?

.

honestly thats a very subjective question. and the answer depends on what you want out of the phone.

lets go through them one at a time listing features and cons
the lg marquee seems a very good phone with the 1ghz cpu, large internal memory unsure how much atm though. it has a 2mp front facing cam which is very good I believe it has hd vid and good res cam it has wireless N theoretically faster and longer range then older g however I believe all boost androids have N
It has a 4" screen slightly smaller then the warp All in all a nice phone
cons not as big of screen as warp possibly others
ZTE warp biggest screen of the boost line 4.3" decent rear cam but no front cam no hd vid possible low quality construction it also has 1ghz cpu and 4gb internal memory
Really except for possible low quality construction and non-hd vid its lack of front facing cam is the main drawback.
the replenish well lets say I give that a huge pass 2.8 screen and generally low low budget build
then the transform ultra 3.5 inch screen but slide out keyboard but front cam 1ghz cpu good internal memory though not lots, 1gb I believe.
decent enough cam and video without being outstanding. no hd

So in short the marquee seems to have combined more of the better features but still lacks that big screen.

Newer phone does not necessarily mean better phone. Actually. I take that back. Newer phone with better hardware specks means better phone... as long as you stick to stock.

But the support behind the phone is what counts! Not only does boost support the phone but the dev team on here behind the Prevail is unbeatable! Prevail has a very good and happening dev team. We have a recovery, roms and unbricking that's unrivaled! Odin anyone?

Please do not get me started about the LG Optimus line. There's no less than 13 different iterations of the phone (yes. I did count)! Try to flash a custom recovery and chances are you're going to use the wrong one and end up with a brick. That's ridiculous! Not only that the dev team behind it is weak, no development at all. Only one Rom is avalable for it. You can post a thread and wait days for a reply that makes sense.

I do not know about the other offerings from Boost Mobile's Android line but I'm staying the he** away from LG and their lineup.

And I'm a tinkerer. Using a phone at stock is just not going to do it for me. Just my two cents.

If you are grouping all the LG Optimus models together, then we'd have to group all the Samsung Galaxy models together. There's something like 13 models of them too. :D

That aside, I don't have any experience with the LG phones at all, so I will have to defer to your experience, Kolosus. I was just foaming at the mouth for the dual core 1GHz CPU, 8MP camera with flash, and front facing camera. Those are 3 things I just can't get from my Prevail.

On the subject of the Prevail. I think it is the greatest little phone I've ever owned to date. It is wonderfully supported by Samgsung/Boost Mobile (the twin Brother at Straight Talk is the Samsung Galaxy Precedent -- still on Froyo with NO expectation of ever receiving an upgrade!) and once I got a2sd installed, the issue of its tiny onboard memory is no longer a hurdle to using it.

Long live my Prevail!

I'm with you , Darkjedi . I may end up getting a phone with a larger screen and faster processor but my lil Prevail isn't going anywhere. It will be lovingly handed down to my wife along with some of the knowledge that I've learned here in this Forum . Tinkering with my Prevail is something that I look forward to everyday and owning it has been a joy . I would recommend it to anyone as a starter Android phone .

I just want more space without having to play with aps2sd. Which does work but its a pain. I also want a bigger screen and a better camera. Also having a larger processor wouldn't hurt. I started playing with my prevail because it was lacking. You can wrap this thing in any box you want when you open it up its still a prevail. Soo if I have to pay $5.00 more per month than so be it.
