[Verizon] Trouble using USB OTG Host Mode

As the title states, I haven't been able to get USB Host mode to work on my phone. I've tried a variety of different attachments from USB sticks, CF Card reader, to my Canon EOS 30D. None of them are recognized as even being connected to the phone. I've tried a couple of terminal commands that were apparently successful from XDA forums and tried the stickmount app from the market and none of them work.

Currently running AOKP M2 and Franco's latest kernel from 1/22/12.

I'm sorry I can't help with your ROM as I'm running stock. I can confirm that stickmount by Chanfire in the Market works with this adapter on the stock ROM. I have mounted Fat32 and ext3. I haven't tried any other partition types, but I can if it helps. The only catch is that when first mounted only the first partition on the device will be recognized. However, you can then open the app and click on "mount" and any other partitions that are present on the device will then be recognized and mounted. Also, FWIW, when a mouse is plugged into this adapter the phone will auto detect it :D (hint: scroll the mouse wheel to move easily between home screens)

I know this probably doesn't help you considering you said that you have already tried "StickMount". I suspect its something specific to your ROM as long as you are using a true OTG host adapter. I actually ordered several different models of adapters from Amazon because they were inexpensive and some of them were not OTG adapters even though they were labeled as such.

If its just a case of not having the proper adapter, PM me and I can send you one of my seven spares I've got laying around for the low low cost of $0.00 + shipping

Thanks! I think I finally figured out it was just a bad cable or not a true OTG adapter. I returned it and went back on amazon and searched again and found one with several reviews from people with Nexus phones that claim it worked great. I guess we'll see when it comes in. If not I may hit you up for one of yours and see if it works. I guess the only thing left to do if none of those two work is try other kernels and ROMs.

That would be awesome if a DAC would work. I have a FiiO E7 that would be really neat to use natively by the Android OS (or even through an app/player if one were to support it) instead of using the onboard DAC then using the E7 as just a headphone amp. It doesn't seem to work on the Transformer Prime's USB port on the keyboard dock. Just got my OTG cable in today to try with my Galaxy Nexus so will do some testing to see what I can find out.
