Ubuntu loses menus?

But menus are all part of the fun of software! Spending countless hours, looking through all the options. What would I do without menus...?!? lol.

Well actually, when you go to a restaurant, you need to see all the options on the menu to know what to choose. You dont just go in, sit down and shout "Steak and chips"

Well I do, but I love steak and chips.

I don't care for unity & all these changes, UI-wise, I won't upgrade past 11.04 because I don't want to be stuck with unity, maybe time to switch it up... anyone using mint? Isn't that supposed to be a pretty descent build, that's unity free...

I used to use mint (before i discovered arch linux). It's pretty good. Haven't used it a about a year or so. Believe by default it uses gnome3, though you have choices between lxde, the debain version, and a kde one.
