Decent In-Line Control Earbuds

So i know there have been threads on this for other devices, but i thought it might be usefull to open a discussion specific to the photon, since it seems that getting a decent set of these that work, is a tricky matter.

Ive been searching around, and so far it looks like the two major players announced in the 'android specific' game, are Klipsch with the S4A and a-Jays with the ONE+

the S4a got mixed reveiws and one guy on amazon said that they flat out dont work with his Photon. i dont think the aJays are out yet, but already reading bad things about the quality of other buds in their line.

so how bout it. anyone know of a good set?

As posted on the motorola forums ...

I wish there was a place where people left more detailed information about what EXACT earbuds/headphones with in-line controls worked. I have bounced around to many forums across the web where people can't get a straight answer for their phone for a headset that works. I found a forum where a somewhat similar phone worked with Skullcandy 50/50 earbuds. Went out and bought them and nothing works about the in-line controls (without or without the apps "Headset Button Control" and/or "Remote Control for Earphones") on the current Sprint/Moto supplied ROM without rooting. Those apps have a debugging mode where they are supposed to show you whatever clicks it detects on the controls and neither the Skullcandy nor standard iPhone headsets show any clicks for me.

Please, someone who has working earbuds with in-line controls on a non-rooted stock ROM Mopho post exactly which headset and app makes it work.

If anyone has any other working in-line control setup, post exactly how you got it to work. Not sure if this is a problem with my phone, the Mopho ROM, the headsets I've tried, etc.

Having and liking the Klipsch S4 earbuds (excellent bass, clarity, comfort, noise suppression), I decided to upgrade to the S4A to get the Android controls. Unfortunately, the controls do not work with the Mopho. Supposedly, they are working on why this is true on so many phone brands.

i am amazed a company of that stature would release a product with those kind of problems. Evidently, it is hit or miss what they work with.

But for now, DO NOT BUY.

An Oops on my part - operator error. The S4A does work with the Photon. The one button controls are a little awkward but work; the sound is great as I love the Klipsch sound; phone operation seems to be good - my wife said I came through loud and clear.

! do recommend at 99 bucks.
