Help is it right to lose more than half my battery in 5 hours?

I havent been using it that much. The screen seems to take most of the battery. It was on auto when i took it off the charger and within a few minutes it had gone down by 2%. Stuck it on 25% and the same thing happened. Its so bad that its on the lowest setting atm and it still happens but just not as bad. Anyone else gets this?

hmm, keeping my phone on the lowest brightness setting is going to be pretty shit. This is going to be a trial and error job. Just as long as it's not a dodgy battery/phone.

Sounds correct. Set Facebook app to not sync at all or very long time to save more battery.

ill trade you! i get around 8hours to a full charge. i'm still trying to tweak my settings, and sync (i usually have too many things syncing too often). Still haven't tried 3g only since i have 4g everywhere, but im sure turning 4g off would help a decent amount too.

Weird. The other day I took a screenshot after having Screen On time of 43 minutes and just hitting 84%. That was also over an hour after the phone had already been off the charger.

Are you in a good 4g area? I cant understand how you can drop from just that. i just charged to 100% on stock (1750mah) gsm version and watched ufc stream + some google music. Anyways heres the ss

I just think some people don't know how 4g eats up battery. Go 3g only if battery bugs you that much.

I really don't see much difference between 3G and 4G as far as battery drain. Battery life sucks for me but I've just learned to deal with it. LOL.

I think its more so when the phone is switching between 3g and 4g that it drains

I'm on a constant H+ or WiFi connection and seem to get great battery.

4g is a huge battery hog and you need to recognize this. If you want speed use 4g at the expense of battery life. If you want long battery life turn off 4g and use wifi as much as possible.

The only thing that ticks me off is like why can't we have a phone as good as the gnex but:
1. The ability to have the beautiful screen at 100% constantly
2. Not worry about 4g eating battery
3. And what's makes me mad most of the time fear if I go out at night and don't have my phone charge fully I have to worry about battery life while I'm out. I don't need my phone dying at midnight when someone tries to txt me.

Just how I feel..I'd pay good money for that

I can easily go below 50% if I use my GNex frequently (but not constantly) within a 5-hour period.
