Root QPST Service Programing Settings - Stock. Please!

Hello,

Some time ago I was "playing around" with my phone and I messed it up. Then I managed to get it back to work.

The thing is that Where's My Droid APP doesn't reply to the GPS function. It receives the "attention word" turns on the GPS, seems working but I never get any message on reply. It used to be working fine before that.

So I would like to ask if anyone could go into QPST in their Optimus M and share the settings, to be sure if I got them right.. I made a research and people have different settings. Any one who didn't touch them? How are they in stock?

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

I'm not familiar with Wheres My Droid but I don't think the settings on QPST would matter in making the app send back a reply. It would seem to me that's a problem with the app since you mention GPS is turning on when it receives the word. What does it use to send that 'reply' back? SMS? Wi-fi?

I believe that for the email function it sends through WI-FI. It replies when I send from a phone, I mean using SMS function it just doesn't work with the email function as it used to. I couldn't find other people complaining about this. Does why I think it could be something with those settings.

I would like to know the settings of a stock Optimus M as I have change the settings again and everything works, data, MSMS. I'm curious which are the default settings of this phone on QPST.

If your email app or any other app can send and receive email then your phone and even less the the programming itself via LGNPST won't fix it because, in essence, there wouldn't be anything to fix. LGNPST is designed to program your phone to have the correct parameters to establish a connection to your service provider. It doesn't deal with how the Wifi interface behaves. I would upload shots of my settings but my program isn't starting up lately. Either way, the settings I could show are unique to me so you wouldn't have much to work with.

This is what I would do if I were you... troubleshoot troubleshoot troubleshoot the Wifi. Try out different wifi apps that use a similar "wake on receive signal" feature and see if it works. Also check if any email app can send and receive emails just fine on its own. If your phone is unable to receive or send any email via any app, through WIFI or 3G, then there would either be a problem with the ROM or something is killing or preventing WIFI from waking up when it needs to.

tl;dr? I very highly doubt it's got anything to do with LGNPST. Check if any other wifi apps works as it should or if there's another app preventing Wifi from waking up.

Thanks for the info. It seems like Wheres my droid new update removed the email function... So as you said it's not the settings of my phone, makes sense as everything else is working. It was a coincidence that once I did all that stuff they updated the APP.

However it would be nice if you can show me your settings. I tried three different set of settings and it all worked. But which ones are the right ones?
