Root [ROM] - 1/28 - CleanROM GBE 1.6 - Base: OTA 2.01.605.11

I keep trying to download this ROM from the scottsroms site and every time, it fails to complete. I have tried this on my home connection on my pc as well as the Rezound's own 4g connection(faster lol). Is there a mirror for this file? By the way, your stuff is great.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but I'm getting the following error after hitting the download button on scottsroms.com:

Slow Down! You are trying to download files too quickly. You must wait 28 seconds before you may download another file.

I've tried in firefox, IE and on the Rezound itself, same result. Any idea what's up here?

Scott - Got a question about this line in the instructions:

"Its not recommended that you restore back ups from prior ROMS! Do fresh install!"

Do you mean ONLY if one of your earlier ROMs is installed? In my case, I would be flashing your ROM over the stock ROM. I've spent many hours setting up the phone the way I want and hope that I'd be able to restore apps, their settings and data from my Titanium backup. Restoring system settings would be good too. Would all that be a problem? Risky?

That happens when too many people are downloading things at once. Just wait a minute and try again.

I mean don't restore anything. Consider this a fresh start.

I was wondering if you had the stock keyboard, the arrows keep getting in the way for me.

My unofficial answer to this problem..Grab an older version of the ROM and replace the current keyboard with the one from the older version. I know Scott said something about making a flashable zip for the Keyboard before but if it's an immediate concern...do that.

The only problem wiht making it a flashable zip... You have to hard wipe to get it to work :(

This keyboard is tricky!

This ROM is a thing of beauty for me. I was on it for a week and then started trying some others (the status bar icons on the BAMF themedROM are gorgeous and it was difficult to give those up). But this ROM is so smooth and fast I'm sticking with it for the foreseeable future. I am running dsb's 1.1.3 kernel with the Smart _ _ _V2 governor.

This might be a stupid question but I have downloaded the 1.6 Rom, but I see a "boot image" in the downloads section that says it is needed. How do I use this? Thanks

You need to look at the instructions in the OP. they tell you everything you need to do.

Scott - Just lettin' you know I got video distortion on day 2 with this ROM. Beautiful Widgets, the clock widget, there is a time stuck at 5pm-something behind the current time. Force Stopping Beautiful Widgets didn't fix it. I had to delete the widget and restart it. Never had this happen before.

That sounds like an application issue. if it were a ROM issue then it would happen all the time to all the apps.

HTC Rezound - Scott i'm running 1.6 - In the wifi tether app, i'm using samsung galaxy nexus CDMA/LTE for my device profile.. I have mss clamping and routing fix selected. when i go to start tethering the log is telling me "Loading WiFi driver failded" Any idea what i am doing wrong?

Hmmm... Not sure. Did you give it root when asked?

If I flash this, will I be able to revert back to the roms using the old radio?

Of course.

Hey Scott,
I used CleanRom for a while and wanted to test the waters and see what else was out there. I've seen it, I've used it, and I'm back. Thanks for the solid work you do and share with us. I dropped a couple bucks in the donation bucket (enough to buy a coke or two), but just wanted to publicly say thanks and keep up the good work.

Thanks for taking the time to say thanks and thanks for the donation! :D

I can't post (newly registered) over at XDA forums regarding this ROM, so I'll post here.

After the OTA update, I had Incredikernel installed for 3 days and battery life was what I'm used to... pretty good. Today I installed CleanROM 1.6.5 + SP1 and I watched my battery life drain dramatically. The battery app shows a slow decrease while off the charger until I installed CleanRom and then the sudden incline is dramatic. I cannot figure out from the bar chart below the graph what it is that contributed to the drain. I'm going back to 1.5.5 to see if that is better as far as battery drain goes.
