I have not been able to find a decent case for the 7+. I have searched for hours and still nothing.
I got one for the regular 7, but it did not fit the plus very well. I like the Samsung one but its been on back order.

anyone find a nice slim leather case or a book style case?

James

I went to a T-Mobile store to test out that incipio case, it was a very nice case and the fit was nice, but its not the case for me :(
I bought a Roo case similar to the Poetic case, and it was just too bulky

im pretty picky when it comes to this stuff. I will keep looking. I saw on another board were some used a Kindle Fire case and said it worked...but im not so sure. Maybe a trip to Best Buy is in order.

I asked at best buy when i bought my 7+ an they said none of the stores carry any cases for the 7+, just the 8.9 and 10.1

I hit the mall last night to see what I could find. the Kiosk that has every thing for everything did not have a case for the 7+ . He said he is getting new inventory next week, so I will look again then

I did happen to find a Belkin folio case at Radio Shack that works perfect and feels good in the hand. The case is made for the Kindle Fire, Belkin Verve Folio Stand

I got a Targus THZ166US-50 cover for Kindle Fire at Best Buy. It is a sturdy, nice looking leather cover and fits the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus perfectly.

It is the style that has hook-like grippers at each corner to hold the tablet in place. All the ports are accessible when the tablet is in the cover and the cover forms a stand in landscape orientation.

I posted this on another forum but relevant here:
There is a new poetic slim case that's going up on amazon on the 18th of this month (jan). I bought the one with the clasp and i don't like it. kinda clunky. and a little too puffy for my taste.
The roo cases also seem too bulky as they're essentially two cases (the one that skins around the tab plus 7 and the case that surrounds it. Marware case seems cool but i want a case that covers the bezel.

Thin is what i'm really hoping for as to showcase the tab plus' thinness.

From digging around, the ferrari of cases seems to be this one (to see it for yourself, Google: Wholesale PU Leather Case Tablet Pouch For Samsung Galaxy Tab P6200). i have this exact one for my ipad two and its incredible. does anyone know how to get it any cheaper? with shipping it turns out like 46 bucks. too much.

There is also one on ebay titled "Black carbon fiber tab plus 7 case" or something that also looks promising being that its only 10 bucks with free shipping (guessing two and a half weeks shipping though cause its coming from Australia.
The speck cases from target for the kindle fire also seem to fit, the 29.99 one (being there is 0.06" excess to make up for the difference in width of the fire and tab plus) is soft not a hardshell so it'll slide in easily.

Check out this new case from Poetic for the Samsung Galaxy 7.0 Plus. I just got mine today, and it's just right for my tastes!

It's a black Poetic StandBook Stand Leather Case with Angle Adjustment. I found it on Amazon for $12.95 and free shipping. The ports, speakers, and cameras are all accessible with this case. The tablet is held in by small rigid curled edges on the corners and 2 extra curled edges on the short sides. The case itself covers only 2 tiny places on the glass, so the entire touch area is wide-open!

The cover part has a bit wider rigid curled edge that sort of snaps over the middle on the long side to keep the case closed. This curled edge covers the IR, so if IR is important to you, you can only use it with the case open... which... seems logical, anyway.

You can open the case completely. Turn the front completely behind the back of the tablet, and it lines up nicely behind the back cover.

You can see other features online if you look at pix on the Amazon or Poetic websites. This case has a really nice 'feel' to it. It's not a portfolio-type case, but is just what I've been looking for!

I'm about to purchase this case and was wondering about the 1st photo on amazon... it can't be the same case as is in the other photos. I just want to make sure that the case looks like photos 2-4.

Right you are. The first picture is not correct. The second picture, showing the tablet standing from a rear point of view, is correct. When the tablet is standing, the two corners of the edge its resting on are NOT attached at the corners.

Also, I think the last picture is misleading. I nearly didn't buy the case because of that picture. I was trying to envision the case opened and laid out flat showing its back-side. Instead, they're showing 2 separate pictures side-by-side, one of the front and the other of the back.

Now, what I have been having trouble with is finding a good case that has a good cutout for the IR Blaster, because believe it or not I am one of those people who use my Tab as a remote also.

The Poetic StandBook Stand Leather Case with Angle Adjustable for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus does have a good cutout for the IR Blaster. It is under the edge part that forms the latch on the side. So the case has to be open in order to use it. I don't use the IR, yet, but it seems natural the case would have to be open to use it to get to the controls, yes?

I like a case that just protects the shell, I dont like a lot of bulk.

I have this case made by M-Edge, I love it.

I'm also considering this gel sleeve, but wanted to know if anyone had used it.

I bought this Moko Case for my tablet.
It is made for the Galaxy 7.0 Plus.
Its a simple case but very nice at the same time.
The tablet snaps into the base of the case at each corner.
All ports/speakers/sensors are open, even the rear camera.
The base/tablet rotates 360 degrees independently from the outer
case making it very easy to switch from portrait to landscape mode
without having to change your grip on the bottom of the case itself.
It also doubles as a stand in both orientations.
The outer appears to be a faux leather, and the inner appears to be a soft faux suede
It secures closed with an elastic band.
Not bad for $20

Mine is Black, but the one pictured here is purple.
If you contact the seller, maybe you can get a black one.
Please note: There is a black Moko case on Amazon listed, but it is not the same as what I have, so I can't speak for that one. It looks like it attaches differently.

I received the case last week and overall I'm pretty happy with it. The leather actually seems to be somewhat of the genuine kind!

Yeah, the 1st pic on amazon is indeed wrong, as I suspected.

Overall, I think this is a nice slim case that is priced really well.

Joel,
Where the tablet snaps in on the corners, do you think the case will scratch or mar the corners of the tablet? Could you post some pics of yours in the case?
