So I decided to return the Seidio Surface case and holster. The back was just too slippery to me. I pulled my old Droid surface case out and it isn't slippery at all. It's very rough and easy to hold. Since I like the CruzerLite's so much, I just decided it wasn't worth it to keep a case I wasn't satisfied with, especially when it cost $30.

That left me still wanting a holster though, which was why I bought the surface in the first case. After watching a few videos on YouTube I decided to go ahead and order the Seidio Active case and holster. There are some video reviews by GoBlueJD and DayDealOnDisplay on youtube that show the case working fine with the extended battery. In particular, the DayDealOnDisplay video shows how the case fits on all edges (a bit easier to see than the photos posted earlier in this thread). The only place there is a little gap according to the review is around the camera cutouts, there's some separation between the phone and case because of the battery.

I ordered the red without kickstand from Amazon. Should be here today. I can post a review or photos for anyone who might be interested in this case and its fit with the OEM extended battery.

My .02, kind of waste of money as it doesn't cover top or bottom edges of phone that well thus kind of defeating purpose of a case. Unlike crankerchick I find the seidio surface a good case. I don't find it too slick at all. Pretty decent case for the $ and I think it looks pretty nice on phone.

Sorry the Seidio didn't work out for you. I also have the Surface with the holster and had the same case for my old Dinc. Both of my cases feel the same and not slippery at all. I was contemplating going without a case because I love the look of the phone, but I always feel like I'm going to drop the Gnex with out the case on. With the Seidio on, it feels much safer in my hand. I feel the Gnex is the perfect size without a case and with the Seidio on it adds some bulk even though it is minimal compared to other cases. At the end of the day, I would rather deal with the excess bulk and have my phone protected.

I received my Seidio Active case with holster on Friday and have been rocking it all weekend. It's not slippery like my surface case was. Maybe I just got an anomaly surface case, but seriously, that thing was just very slippery. There was no rough feeling about it. I'm dropping the surface case in the mail this evening to send it back.

The Active case does indeed fit the phone with the extended battery, but if the fit with the standard battery is perfect, then the fit with the extended battery is just a step below perfect. It does fit, and it fits well (as opposed to just acceptable) but it doesn't fit perfectly as the video reviews say. If I hadn't have put the case on the phone with the standard battery also, then I would say the fit is perfect, but since I did try it with standard and extended batteries, I can say that there is a slight variation in fit, as there should be since this case fits snugly. That said, you won't even notice the fit difference should you decide to go with this case. All that really happens is, while the flexible "undercover" fits perfectly, the hard case is a just a teensy bit not wide enough, and a teensy bit not thick enough, resulting in the middle arms not being quite flush. The differences really are minimal and don't affect anything, even aesthetically unless you look very closely. I'm giong to keep it. Seidio has said they have no plans to make this case fit the extended battery (a shame really).

A few asides: the cruzerlite cases will work with the holster for the active case. There is a little wiggle, but it's minimal and won't affect anything. The phone is good and secure in the holster. This is good, it means regardless of what case I use, I can rock the holster when I want.

The cruzer lite cases also will work with the surface holster. If you are looking to purchase just a holster to go with you TPU case (Ditztronic or Cruzerlite were the only ones I could test with), you will want to get the Surface holster, as the fit is snug and dare I say perfect. With the Active holster, the fit is good but a bit of a wiggle, but with the Surface case, the fit is perfect. My guess is the holster for the naked device will NOT work with any cases based on the fit of these cases with the surface holster.

Anyone found a good leather pouch being sold in the UK? Been racking my brain out trying to look for one. I know its a new phone but there must be a few right? Doesn't have to be leather either, just one that can still protect my phone from a light fall like a leather case would.

Bought this on Amazon recommended from a forum post. Best pouch for the money that I've bought for any phone. Granted I just use it to throw in my purse or coat pocket. It fits with TPU or slim cases. Don't know if you can find the same one in the UK.

Crankerchick, is the spring tight on the holster? The one my bro got is a lot looser than the holster for the Droid.

Anyone with the cruzerlite (w/o the volume cut outs) notice that the volume rocker feel looser after taking the case off? I've only had it on for 4 days. If I shake the phone, I can hear the rocker make a little noise. :( I don't know if it's caused by me pressing on them or because the case is too tight around that area.

This one looks decent.

So wait, this case fits with the TPU case on it?

Was just about to post here asking if anyone knows of a case that the Nexus will fit into with a TPU case on it. Hmm. May have to check this out. Thank you.
