Help Nova Launcher

Nova settings then Desktop....be sure your homescreen is in the middle when setting number and arrangement of the screens, the middle screen is what it will return to. Then go to Behavior under Nova settings and and you can 1. set the home button action to bring you to default screen or 2. check the "only on default screen" option and then set a different home button action for when you are already on the home screen, on any other screen it will take you back home.

hope that was somewhat understandable haha

Anyone know if there is a way to set the default home screen-- for example I scroll all the way to my left most home screen and launch an app from there. Hit home again and it returns me to that left most home screen. I would prefer if it sent me back to my main home screen (#3). Am I missing the setting someplace??

Thanks

you can rearrange the order of your screens. go to the home screen, hit the home button again, then it will show a preview of all your screens. long press the screens you want to move then drag it to the location where you want it to be. i think the middle of the rotation in the preview view is always your default home screen.

Nope-- unfortunately that doesn't do what I need. I need it to go to my default home screen when I am in another app. It goes to the last home screen I was on.

When I am on another launcher screen this setting takes effect. I would like it to take effect from other apps.

I'm confused about beta13 and it's Custom Icons for Folders. How does this work?

Its quite simple actually.

Do This:

1. Make a regular folder by placing multiple apps together.
2. Long press the Icon it makes for the folder, with the cascading apps.
3. Choose Edit.
4. Touch the grey square.
5. Give you folder a custom Icon from your file system.

Is there a way to minimize the amount of home screens? I know you can edit the dock, but can't figure out the home screens..

I rather have 2-3 not 5.

thanks!

YES you can minimize the amount of home screens on Nova Launcher.. Hit the Home Screen button FROM your actual Main Homescreen. IT will bring up all the panels (5 of them) which you can just touch and jump to it. If you LONG PRESS on a panel. you can drag and delete it like it was an APP

Thanks for the reply! I should have expanded more in my first post. I have done all this, and I can't find any custom icons anywhere in the file system.

is there any way to copy my homescreen from stock launcher into nova? i hate to re arrange all my icons and create new folders and what not

I've searched hi and lo for an answer to this, and I'm sure there's a way to do it but either not enough people care, or it's really difficult. I've tried an app called "home switcher" but it didn't seem to work. So you are most likely out of luck...

I ended up just redoing all my apps and widgets. At least nova offers a backup service (hopefully it works - ive never restored from it).

Anyone seeing any re-draw issues with this launcher? I've been using it since I rooted about a month ago and just in the last couple updates its gotten worse. It's not every time, but sometimes it OG Droid-like slow at redrawing all of my icons/widgets when I return from an app. I thought having 4x more RAM (1 GB) than my OG Droid would make this issue a thing of the past. But apparently it's still an issue with some launchers. I really wish LauncherPro was still relevant so I could go back to that, but the dev pretty much abandoned it early last year :(.

Can I do the same trick where I can edit the build.prop file to lock the launcher in memory? I didn't see anything on it for the Galaxy Nexus with a quick Google.

Thanks in advance!
