Hello Guys.

I installed the 1.6 but I notice a battery life is less than the GalaxHero!

Example: Finish charge yesterday at 20, switched into standby until 00:30, put on the Airplane mode until 7:30.....charge battery to 91%

Until now, almost always on standby, 3 minutes of calls, 5 minutes of WiFi connection....Battery 60%!

I think it wear the charge very quickly ... What do you think?

I also noticed a bug on connecting / disconnecting the cable from the PC, if I check "Notify SD Card" or if I not check it the phone rings, too!

just try to fix the bug..
it might be related to goggles, but it's not confirmed..

and just reboot your phone if it never sleeps..

actually the battery is very nice with this firmware if you fix the no-sleep bug..

today, i use it for 10 hours, light usage with typing 2 emails and checking email maybe 20 times, and 2 calls and 2 text messages, and it only used 15% battery.. so still at 85%.. very nice..

and it was on all of last night for alarm.. it dropped only 1% overnight

I concur with Djolle & mrqs:

If you experience that phone gradually over time of being used, then you have checked in Settings under Security & Location -> Use wireless networks and Share with Google. So, uncheck them! ;)

only did any good after a reboot for me - anyone else?

Worked for me! JB2, MinFreeManager (on default) and SetCPU (ondemand with sleep and low battery profiles wound right down) has the phone very responsive and an excellent battery life compared to IK4. For the first time I didn't feel the need to plug the phone into the charger last night.

BTW thanks guys - I think this phone with the support of the guys on this forum is still lovely. Small, light, great screen, good storage... and a built in project in itself! :D

In my understanding the PC ones try to increase the cpu speed. SetCPU throttles it back when you dont need the grunt to save batyery. I think it works.

Well, it's easy to fake slowing the processor down. You just run some
app that does heavy processing to deny others the CPU ;)

I'm wondering whether it really throttles on the system level and whether
it helps in preserving battery life.
