Help HTC Magic won't start

I tried to update my HTC Magic phone to the CyanogenMod v3.4.6 - stable, updated 6/24. This went all to plan and the phone restarted perfectly. After some playing around i noticed the screen won't auto rotate anymore on the Magic and decided to try out another rom. From the Android Build Downloads site.

Now i went for the Haykuro because there was a nice how to with it. Now this went terrible wrong and the phone won't start up anymore. I tried the ION BUILD Haykuro R2 after this but now the phone keeps haning in the HTC boot up screen.

Nothing i seem to do helps. I tried using the HTC flassing your phone back to factory system image. But the HTC boot up screen keeps popping up and holding it there. Instead of the old Android logo.

Anybody have a clue? http://www.htc.com/www/support/android/google-io-device.html#s5http://android-dls.com/wiki/index.php?title=Magic_Rooting

I would strongly recommend going to the recovery page home + power and doing an alt+w a good portion of the time changing builds or even upgrading builds requires a factory reset or clean slate to work properly...

ew, that took my edge of.. thought for a moment i could throw away the phone. I did a hard reset, and in the recovery boot i used alt+w. Both failed many times. I got a micro sd adapter from a friend and cleand out the sd card with a fresh stock of files.. Now it works perfectly again! Thanks very much!

One more thing, it could be me, but it seems that every custom build doesn't support the auto rotate when i tilt my phone. Is it me or don't they support it or which build does?

not every build does but most do... if you are referring to the actual home screen then no it's not always going to be there.... and glad your back up and running...

Well i'm a big fan of CyanogenMod v3.4.6 mod, But it doesn't rotate in either the browser or text messaging. At the moment i use the nk02ion_r3_LITE build which works great except with google pages. It gives the error "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: _gp_initsearch" and it won't load the logging page to my mail or calander. (this is in the browser, on the phone everything works great)
