I have a Droid that has been sitting in a drawer without its battery for several months. After pulling it from the drawer, I put a brand new battery in it. This battery is fine as it was powering my other Droid without any trouble.
When I press the power button, the 4 soft buttons at the bottom of the Droid light up, but the screen is still black. At first, I thought it was a dead screen, BUT if you look very carefully, you can see the Android symbol and the hand sweeping over to click on it. This is the screen you'd see after a factory reset. The Droid is working. The Droid's brightness is near black.
How can I adjust the brightness when I can't see the screen? The Droid wants me to set up as a new device, so I can't just touch settings and fumble my way to the settings screen.
