I did use setCPU and it only lets me go as high as 528, so your saying once the kernel is finally modified and upgraded to .29 then it can be overclocked past 528?
The kernel sets valid scalers (base PLL x scaler = clock speed).
If they only set a scaler which makes 528Mhz the maximum then you cant overclock untill you replace the kernel. Also remember you need root to set CPU speed. That means you need a su file or a root sh file.

ya I'm rooted, man this really sucks how we can't get no where without a freakin' moded kernel! I would do it myself as you already know, and I have tried but hardly got anywhere. Not only am I upset about that, but the dam* bug fix update is only out to a handful of people.
