Well it looks like im completely wrong on this one. Im extremely sorry- I honestly did not intend to be a troll. I got some exciting news, that I was positive would be accurate. I was wrong.

I know I will be crucified and possibly banned. I honestly am very sorry. I have been on the receiving end of threads like this and it sucks.

Obviously im new here- I registered to bring some good news! Ive been lurking on this thread for about 2 months.

Anyway, my dad (koalabear), author of this thread (http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/15396-my-tutorial-syncing-eris-outlook-without-google.html), just told me he got an OTA update to 2.1.

He said it was 6.4 MB, and asked where else it had rolled out- it looks like no one has posted about it yet! Be on the lookout for it, it seems like it might be coming out!

That is way too small for a full update to 2.1. And if he does have it, I hope he was smart enough to save it so he could post it and be the savior of this forum

I thought it sounded on the small side too, maybe it doesnt require a wipe? As in not a "full" update?

Im really hoping that will be the case in the next 24 hours. I havent gotten anything on my Eris. Im just telling you all what he told me. He is on his way back from Canada, and I believe he was there when he got it. These are the texts he sent me:

"Just got the 2.1 update"
"Came in ota"

Believe me or not, I couldnt care less. I thought some people might be excited that a trusted member on this forum is reporting 2.1.
