It looks like I will have to put the movie on hold.
I really do not want to go to the theater feeling like I do.
I will try to go next weekend. Working week nights stops a lot of things.

And thanks for the birthday thoughts, its tomorrow and I will probably go over to my parents place for dinner with the family like I usually do every Sunday.:)

I'm quite depressed. I have been thinking a lot more about my future and today was the 'look at credit cards without blinders on' day.
I'm glad I did but damn it that hurt.

Cheer up. Things can always be worse. You have Nyxie, good health and a million AF friends :)

And HERE's what a bad day could bring: the fruit phone I got for my daughter's 16th BDay (y'all helped me decide). Well, a week after her BDay, it was stolen off of her desk DURING photography class - she went into the darkroom for a second and it was gone. Insured but $170 deductible, which she will have to pay (she will be doing a LOT of chores and learning about responsibility). Put her on my old Storm for the time being. And I gave my 18-year old son a credit card expressly "for emergencies" and the first bill came in today for $750. I didn't know a kid could buy that many mp3's and that much fast food. So today is "chat with the kids" day. You think you're depressed? :D Have to laugh 'cause the alternative is ugly.

Haven't learned yet how to multi quote.

Blackbelt: Glad to hear that your dad is better. :) Nothing replaces family brother. Good luck with your performance. We are all pulling for you!

Just click on the little quote button with a "+" sign and the last quote you just hit the regular "quote" button. Was one of the great forum tips I picked up the Pre-release thread! :)

Thanks for the perspective. I know it could be worse and don't envy you your position. (God help me, it'll be my turn to do the teenage rearing thing sooner than I want).

Dude. Oh, dude.

Well - I hope you enjoy your new collection of mp3s he just picked out for you. ;)

My first cell mistake was thinking that the super-limited el cheapo plan, texts extra, for a youngster to go with their emergency phone was a good idea.

Dad? Are you sure I made 4500 texts this month, because that doesn't seem right.

I agree, as you were supposed to be busy otherwise, 150 texts a day didn't seem right to me, either. Good news, though! The carrier I selected keeps a record of them on the web. Let's read some of them together and get that pesky carrier to adjust the bill, I'm sure they got you all wrong. I have the web page up already, grab a chair! :)
Kudos to all the hard-working parents out there, and take solace in the fact that if nothing else, you can always make them squirm. :D

Do you think you'll have a battle over piercings and tattoos? :D

I said to her "three holes in the ear is enough!"

"Ok - how did she get her ears gauged when I was on travel?"

"She said you two talked all about it!"

"And did she tell you that I said absolutely not?"

She is so far intrigued by them, but hates any sort of pain at all so here's hoping that keeps her away from asking till she's at least 18. Then it's her decision, and she can foot the bill. :D

ROTFLMAO

Little girls and their daddies:

Little girls - 1 bazillion

Their daddies - zero

:D :D :D

(Except for the love - we're such pushovers.)

I'm almost 34 and still usually tell Dad things first or ask him for things when I need help. I'm an admitted Daddy's girl.

Thanks for the last several posts, some too close to home. I had a really long day and am really tired. Check the rant thread if you want to know more or for the longer story, I'll chat in the VIP area (guys in blue who are common here, PM's will work too, it's just not for public consumption). I needed to chuckle at life's struggles a bit.

I bet Early and I would say "yes" to whatever you asked for ;)

Here, let me turn down the TV, I just need to hit record first. OK - all set.

No, I'm not busy. I'm never too busy for you.

Ok, ok, there there, it's ok.

Yes, really.

I know you tried hard, I know you always do.

But only if you promise that this time, you're really going to keep your promises.

Because promises and trust are all we have.

And I trust you.

Plus I understand how this last time, stuff happened and it totally wasn't your fault.

How about a little snack? Can I get you something?

Kinda gives a whole new, old-school meaning to who's your daddy, now doesn't it? :D ;) :D
