At&t ditches Google for yahoo - are you kidding me?

Not good for google, really, but this is just one phone. Above everything, Google is pushing android so they can get more searches and sell more ads. But this is just one phone, and a low-tier at that.

I mean, I can understand the whole being business partners, but consumers should get the option to use something other than the default search engine, if they want.

This is true, consumers should get the option to choose, but when I think Android I think Google, and I think several other consumers out there who look into purchasing an Android phone want the Android experience - and most expect to see a Google Search. I wouldn't buy that phone (outside of the fact I hate blur) because I don't really like Yahoo as a search engine - of course this is personal preference.

wow does that mean no google voice app either? that would suck!

I dont know, but it could be! I sent an email to At&t (like I'll ever hear back) in regards to what applications from google would be excluded, but I havent head back yet. When I do - if I do - I'll put an update out or something.

Strange though huh!

It unfortunately is... but long story short.. no more AT& for me.

Besides them dropping my calls, I ask them why couldn't I remove the internet plan on my wife's phone. (she didn't need it anymore) They told me its because its a smart phone.. but I said to them my daughter and my Mom have smart phones with no internet and they told me that its because they change the rule to where you HAVE to have internet on your phone by some date.. an oddly enough I missed this date by 2 days. Then I asked well why didn't AT& tell me about this first? And they said they did and I asked them to prove it.. show me where they sent me a letter saying this.. they couldn't nor would the remove the internet fee. They knew I didn't need it but couldn't make any other suggestions to me until I ask them what if I take out the SIM card and put it in an older phone.. then can the fee be removed? So they think about it and they reluctantly said yes. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I can't stand AT& and their stupid blurred confusing retaliation commercials to the public and now this? Oh my...
