.:Official Rezound Best Deals Thread:.

I Just ordered it from verizon this morning. I was going to order from Amazon due to not having to pay tax but they went up in price and even with taxes this was about $40 cheaper.

I can't wait to get it.

Sweet. Im going to go in store and play with the REZ in person. I have the razr maxx now and its fine, but I do have an upgrade avail and i love playing with custom roms.

I just bought the rezound last week from verizon, any chance they would give me the credit difference? I'm still within my 14 days, i suppose i could take it back, but don't want to go through the unlocking and rooting again.

I doubt it, but then again i dont work for vzw. A phone call is cheap and make net you some money back. Hey give it a shot! But i believe if you return it you may get hit with a restocking fee. I would ask the rep

Crazy. The Nexus is still holding at $299 and the Rezound is already a $99 phone. I just can't wrap my mind around why the Nexus is so much more popular than the Rezound. Has to be advertising. hTC's advertising is mediocre, at best.

Most likekly samsung is not willing to redux the price on the phone. Its got a 50 dollar promotion right now. When i log in it shows at 249, but I dont think its worth 99.99

Damnit. I paid $170 for it yesterday with an upgrade. Sucks.

If you bought it from Verizon, they should refund you the difference. A lot of people that bought the Rezound for $299 a few weeks after it was released, called Verizon and had them adjust their purchasing price when Verizon bumped the price down to $199.

If you bought it from a 3rd party, you can always refuse delivery of your device.

I was just finishing my purchase at Costco online for $169.99, when for some reason I opened the forum in another tab and saw this post!

Thank you dubbsix!

You get a case, car charger and sim card through Costco, but I doubt they're worth the $70 difference in price!

Doesn't the phone come with a sim card from HTC?

No, the SIM card is from Verizon. You need it to allow a 4G phone to work on their 3G and 4G network.

Just for grins, I was looking around and not only is there a variation in what you'd pay for the Rezound on contract, but off also. There's a $100+ difference between sites on what you pay for it. Rather strange for a newer phone with high end specs.

I went down there today and they initially told me that it was a web only deal and stores don't match web only deals. I told them that they really didn't want me to return the phone 'cuz no one wins. I end up paying $35 so I'm unhappy and they get a refurbed phone which they don't want. Plus, I'm no longer under contract so I could walk across the street to Sprint at that point as I'm not completely sold on the phone at the moment. They credited my account for the difference.

Your best bet is to call, and raise a stink...

More reason to take that price to Best Buy and price match. I did that when it was 79.99 for an add-a-line on Amazon a few days ago. I even got a $50 BB giftcard for signing a 2 year contract that they put on the price of the phone. Total pre-tax price... 29.99. Plus they have no restocking fees and price match either before or after the sale no problem.

I *hate* BB but you can not argue with that policy they have...

Best Buy wont match online prices... 2 weeks ago I tried to get the Rezound from them at Amazon's price of $160 -- they said nope, go pound sand, we don't match online prices.

Just went through the order process and notice something alarming:

SDM Remote Query Enabled. <--- what the hell is that ?!

vzw chat sesson:

Erin: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
You: Hello Erin
Erin: I'd be happy to assist you.
You: I just went through an upgrade online and notice a feature called SDM remote query enabled. can you explain what this is?
Erin: That's a great question. Is it okay if I take a moment to research that for you?
You: sure
Erin: SDM is a security device manager, that improves the security of your connectivity to a router.
You: Yes but whats the "remote query" mean?
You: Sounds like vzw can connect to my phone without me knowing
Erin: No. Verizon does not do that, but to get a better explanation for this you would need to contact customer service.
Erin: Customer Service would be better suited to assist you with your specific account needs. They can be reached at 1-800-922-0204 Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 12:00AM, Saturday 8:00AM-9:00PM and Sunday 9:00AM-8:00PM. Or you can call *611 from your Verizon Wireless device.
You: Okay thank you.
