Operation gameloft support

Operation GAMELOFT SUPPORT - xda-developers

FIGHT FOR GAMELOFT SUPPORT ON OUR PRIMES. Gameloft caters to Apple, but didn't give support to the Original ASUS Transformer for more than 5 months.

We will not wait that long. Visit the XDA thread and help us spam them for support for our Primes.

The Transformer Prime has been out for almost a month now, yet Gameloft has not added a single supported game for us yet, even though the Prime is the most powerful Android device out now. Gameloft needs to break it's little agreement of favoring Apple and also needs to stop feuding with Asus.

It took Gameloft MONTHS to produce 4 measly games for the Asus Transformer TF101 and before that, owners had to do alternative methods of playing their games.

Until more Tegra 3 games come out, Gameloft games are the best we can get for now. Gameloft needs to get it's head out of it's arse and support our Primes. We should not have to scurry around to find an alternative method to play Gameloft games.

This is one of the only responses that we have received regarding Gameloft support on our Primes:

Hello,

So far we don't have games for your device.

Please visit our website for all the news and announcements concerning our releases.

Regards,

If you want Gameloft Games on your Asus Transformer Prime, we have to do something, SPAM their twitter and facebook accounts regarding support on our Primes, as well as their forums.

I don't have a prime but if the games work on the original transformer why don't they work on the prime?

Google really needs to create a standard for both manufacturers and developers to stop this situation. A game that plays on tegra 2 should have no problem playing on a tegra 3.

Don't blame google on this one... this is squarely on Gameloft. Chance are it would run just fine. ;) It GL's choice to block a device.

That may be the case but Google could use its power to stop this sort of garbage from happening. There are way too many apps and games that run fragmentation issues with android. I know Microsoft or apple wouldn't let a develop choose which products running their OS will work with some devises and not others.

So... I couldn't believe it when I went to the market app today and saw two Gameloft games available for the prime?!!!

I'm currently downloading Asphault 6 now, and its saying that 9mm is also available. I have a few more of their games, but not from the marketplace, so i'll have to contact them to see if they are available now as well.

Seems like a nice turn of events for a change!

EDIT: As far as I can tell its only Asphault 6, 9mm, and Backstab at this point. (I don't own Backstab but see the prime listed as supported).

I believe that if a developer, Gameloft, 8 balls a particular tablet, but wants to sell their wares to others running the Android platform, Google should step in and say, "Either make your software available to all devices running Android or remove all your software from the Android Market" !

Hit 'em in the wallet................. that'll learn 'em !

Hehe... I hear your sentiment! The funny thing is that GL actually snubbed the market in favor of their own site for a long time (which people got pissed off about). Its only recently that they've started to sell no the market (and its not all their games either).

I'm sure, even with their own site, GL would not like the revenue loss, if they were not allowed to sell on Android Market !

It took them months to release games for my Galaxy S II which is still the most powerful Android phone on the market, they got there eventually but the time it took was a disgrace and the they did a poor job, performance issues and the games are NEVER updated, there are still some HD titles not available.

Now releasing for the Transformer products should be easier, they already have games released for other Tegra 2 tablets and the architecture for Tegra 3 is very simalar. So what's stopping them? Nothing, they just don't want to release them.

It's easier to just forget Gameloft exist, Gameloft are a joke.
