Hi again guys.

I have 2 questions.

I am downloading a software update for my phone and it is around 160megs. Will this use my data plan? It was downloading with both the wifi and 3g light on..... I really dont want to use that much of my data in less than a few minutes......

The 2nd is how do I turn 4g/3g off?

If wifi is on, it's using that network for data, not VZW's mobile network. There are no time constraints for data either. Just because you use it quickly has no bearing on how much you use.

To turn of 4g, click the menu button>settings>wireless and networks>mobile networks>network mode>cdma only. That will do it for you.

The phone doesn't use 4g/3g if it's connected to wifi. It just shows that so you know what network is "available". If you want to completely turn off 3g/4g you can do this. From the home screen, press menu>settings>data manager and uncheck data enabled.

The last issue I am having is I keep getting "Google Talk Authentification Failed" every few minutes... do you know how to disable that? I dont even think I have an account for that XD

I'm just guessing, but check menu > settings > accounts. If there is a Google Talk account there either delete it or make it so updates are only manual.
