Google Wallet now Available through the Market**

I am getting the same thing. I am running AOKP 23 with lean kernel 1.10exp2. Not sure if its my rom, kernal, vzw or just wallet....or maybe just my location? I am in Cali.....

I don't think it's your location. I think it's Google wallet not working. By the way, I may be late to the dance, but I tried the "reset google wallet" found here in order to try to find wallet in the Market but it does not work for me. Maybe that was closed out.

This is just frustrating. I don't use it often, but when I do it's nice to have.

I was able to get it...eventually...to download from the market. Here is another observation. In wallet, from the main screen...if you click the 3button menu and go to about...mine says the mysid is ICL53F but my about phone in settings says I am on: IML74K....wonder if the app is not updating based on my actual device yet because of the connection to Google or if this still seeing my old version of the app from the side loaded version....can anyone check theirs for comparison? Thanks

Have you tried clearing the cache in the app menu? I did do this yesterday, not immediately before it worked again, but earlier in the day. Not sure if that had some affect on it.

Yeah clear data, remove cards, uninstall, reinstall, redownload....yeah..and still getting the prepaid system is unavailable. I will keep checking, but missing it already. Plus I had money on the prepaid card...and now no access to it. I may give them a call later today or this weekend if its still a no-go.

Apparently they have a contract with Citi, and ONLY Citi at the moment... however, I can load the gift card with funds from MY bank account. While I can still successfully USE the pre-paid card, I will admit that I haven't had a need to charge it back up since all this hubbub started. I guess I'll find out when my pre-paid funds are depleted. Hopefully it'll all be sorted out by then

Hi Mike,

I understand that you have been unable to provision your Google Prepaid
Card and I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

While we have restored the ability to issue new prepaid cards to Google
Wallet, we have temporarily disabled Google Prepaid Card provisioning on a
device that has previously had a Google Prepaid Card on it. This is to
ensure the security of our users and we are working to restore full
functionality as soon as possible. This process will take approximately
two weeks.

If you would like a refund for the funds on your Google Prepaid Card,
please contact Money Network at 855-896-0693. For more information around
this issue, you can visit the Google Commerce blog at
Google Commerce.

Please reply to this email if you have any other questions. We appreciate
your patience and understanding as we work to improve the Google Wallet
experience.

Sincerely,

Leah

Today I wanted to try using the Google Prepaid Card to make a purchase on the Android Market (wanted to buy Nova Launcher Prime). It's not in my payment options. So I opened up Google Wallet and tapped the Prepaid Card, and I see "User ID: Cannot contact bank". So I have no idea how to fix this if it even can be fixed. Of course I'm just assuming it's possible to use it for the Market in the first place.

I've seen the "user id: cannot contact bank" before. It was a while back when they were supposedly updating the system. It went away later in the day and all was good. I saw it again recently, today or yesterday... and it is back to normal now. Just give it a day or two.

I don't think the google wallet prepaid card can be used for anything except purchases on the google wallet device, at least mine doesn't show up anywhere else.

Is anyone else still unable to add a prepaid card?

I am still unable to get the prepaid card to connect.

my prepaid is working fine. spending and provisioning.

What I'm wondering is that "new" users are the ones having problems... for example, I was signed up and using the service the same day that the updated apk appeared on xda (a month ago?). And then all the security scare, disable, enable, system change/update stuff happened... so maybe if you first signed up for the service during that time of turmoil or after, the prepaid card is still wiggin out...

mine was buggy at first, but somehow it "fixed itself" during the time of turmoil...
