phone 1: Worked from release for about 2 weeks. issue with charging notification, well documented. I was within the 14 days so I got a new one.
Fast forward to a week or two ago/
phone 2: worked for a few months, but then the speaker just died. No sound/alarms/media (really only cared about alarms and speaker phone). I gota refurb
phone 3: No signal anywhere. I stood in places where both previous Nexii and a TB had gotten full 4G and did not even get voice.
phone 4: same as above
phone 5: I love it. it works, and I am back in love.
So...I would say that if you really like the phone keep pushing. But EarlyMon was right, HTC makes some great phones and honestly, it was hard for me to make the decision for Nexus vs Rezound. The dev community is what made my resolve strong, and I am glad I got the Nexus. But you may have different priorities.

Good morning all! Been away for a few days...busy busy busy. I'm still catching up on posts, but wanted to comment on this.
Anyway, I echo what Nkk says above. I think I mentioned before my fiasco with my DX - it was my 5th phone that was the jewel. It was also a new one, but it took a ton of time / work to get it - 3 levels up of managers. But, it's the one I sold recently, and the buyer seems to be thrilled he got it (heard from him after he received it.)
Lucky - if they do send you a new one, be sure they don't reset your contract date, which they did to me. It took HOURS later to get that reset. If I had noticed it when they did it, I would have had an easier time getting it changed back. But, eventually they did move it back and that's what enabled me to get Nessie on release date.
So, bottom line - they CAN give you a new phone but you have to push for it. Mention that you're very active on the forums, and you know that these are known issues, that you bought a NEW phone, but it's not worked right yet. You have a right to a NEW phone that is actually working. You paid for a NEW, WORKING phone, but they haven't provided it yet.
I am fine with THIS refurb GN, and it works SO incredibly well - I'm very, very glad I didn't get one of the "r" phones! I've had this for 4 weeks, and make a TON of calls on it, and so far (knock on wood) no loss of audio issues at all. I hope you get it resolved to your liking. Good luck!
