I have it working. My problem is, I need space on the phone for the file. It will not play from the SD card. I need about 80 MB free, and I already uninstalled most apps, and deleted bloatware and unneeded ring tones. Thinking what I am gonna do

Why's the file so big, if you don't mind me asking?

A new bootani would be nice.. deleted the metro and tried renaming a .wav file to sound like a nextel chirp but that didn't take.. Would like to get rid of the samsung booatani next and figure out how to flash y theme..

I havent Posted The Boot Animations yet that replace the samsung logo because to me there kind of lame but, ill post some good ones soon

A new bootani is in my thread....new bootanimation.....yes!!!! Im on the edge of success with a real boot animation for our phones ...ive got it set to change with every flash of my themes but its still leaves you with the second splash stay on ....soooo as soon as I get it figured out EVERYONE WILL BE ABLE TO CHANGE BOOTANIMATION AT WILL...SIMPLY BY FLASHING A VERBOUS THEME OR A DWAYNE ADMIROUS THEME AND HAVE A KICKASS BOOT ANIMATION TO BOOT.


Dwayne....hit me up brother....we need to put our heads together on this..cause the developers are letting us newbies run with it on this ....we are the little engine that could and soon to be the little engine that kicked tail and left them at the starting line.

Your Right and like i said before i made this thread i give all credit to you because you should me that it was possible and i now found out how to change the bootanimation( both start up and samsung logo) also start up sound and shutdown sound and also how to put a custom animation before the phone turns off.

I would love to work along your side add me and anyone else reading this feel free to add me.

I did this and now my phone stays idle while shutting off...
Might have to do with editing the permissions for every image can you give better instructions on which ROW and GROUPS should have what?

For Images Permission( Only things that need to be checked)

Read Write Execute
>Owner Owner
>Group
>Others

Click Ok and change The top make to Mount R/O
And Phone should reboot

Cant Its against the rules on this site

1. Go to 4shared.com
2. type in Root Explorer.apk
3. Look One that was recenty Posted( Most likey it will be the up to date one)
4. Wait for countdown
5. click link and it will start to download
6. Make sure that Unknown sources Is Checked and install
7. Done

Good news is that I got the permissions set and everything. I even changed the startup sound correctly.

Bad news is my phone Still wont shut off.. permissions and everything is fine I don't understand whats wrong!!

The way that the process works is that I take the call that the phone is shutting off, and at that time, it starts a process with ffmpeg. It then takes the video and dynamically creates the images with permissions and audio to boot with it. This is the only way I have figured out how to do something like this so far. I am thinking that I might be able to write a hook that starts a process when the bootani.qmg file is called and stops that process and in place, run my own process running some other video or image list overtop of the screen. I plan on including this is Equinox when it's done. But as of right now, I am working on the overclocking and bluetooth radio.

It's cool. The way I can create these images using the alpha version of my tool from videos, makes things easy to make more.
