Android Fanboys....

I just did further investigation on that article, and it's a rip off, there is no such thing as an Android Trashcan.

I would buy one, especially if it was motion controlled ;)

I looked online for that too. :(

I sense a new product idea, though! Who here would buy one and for how much? I've been looking for a new project for a while. :D

Motion controlled might be annoying though. Every time you move the can would probably open.

But this picture isn't exactly accurate. Apple fanboys are the ones that need to take a breath or two to be able to place an order for their $6 drink at Starbucks. I fit a lot of the Linux ones though. Turn-on, turn-off, movie, TV show, ride (Segway FTW!), deep fear...

You just cant let it go can you. Seriously dude, grow up and stop posting your Android hate around here.

And for the love of god people, stop posting PCWorld links.

Yeah, I hate Android. That's why I own a DROID. There's a basic understanding of tech and like for tech, but fanboyism is deplorable no matter what tech it is. Apple, Android, PC, Sony, Samsung... all have their own fanboys. That's what I hate. Whether I'm in one of those manufacturer's camps, I will always want them to "do more." But I'm not going to sit here, get what I get and say it's the next best thing to sliced bread. That's the fanboy delusion. Ours isn't the "best tech" there is. It has strengths, yes. But it also has weaknesses. The fanboy only sees the strengths and ignores the weakness. Why stop posting PC World links if what they say even has an ounce of truth to it? I say post on and you'll see the fanboys crop up and display their true subjectiveness.

I actually thought the table's funny. Tongue-in-cheek and all, though with some favoritism toward certain camps.

Buyer's remorse? Your posts typically sound like certain Apple/Mactard trolls we were getting in the N1 section some time ago, though admittedly with better grammar and punctuation. Bawww less, contribute more, and maybe people won't roll their eyes so hard when they see your user name.

Buyer's remorse? Not really. The more stuff that comes out about the "better" devices (N1, Desire), e.g. their MT inaccuracy, the more I cherish the great build quality of the DROID. I'd rather have a dented foil screen than a touch screen that doesn't work properly. So, remorse? Not really. But I'm not a bandwagoner. I mean there are obvious reasons to join Android instead of the Apple crew. But how can buy-in 100% to a platform when their best phone has so many problems with it? You HAVE to be mad at that. We have no ammo to fire at Apple fanboys if our best representative has so many issues.

I'm a realist. And really, the iPhone is a seriously capable phone. Internally, it's as good or better than my phone. Yeah, it's other features aren't going to woo the spec-monger, but how do you bash a phone that literally opened the door and ushered in the current generation of smartphones? And if we, the Android Nation, want to prevent our own fanboyism, let's not be blinded at the shortcomings of our platform.

Because honestly, it doesn't help Google innovate or improve if we're all blowing sunshine up their butts. If not for the angry N1 owners, would you have seen Google move so fast to fix their problems? Buzz adopters, etc.?

There's a middle ground between slavishly and blindly salivating over your platform of choice and bitching about said platform whenever the opportunity arises, and often when your drivel is irrelevant to the topic but you feel the need to spew anyway. You have an axe to grind. We get it. Now sit down.

Who are these blind fanboys you're talking of again? They seem to exist only in your imagination. Again, this thread links to something that suggests the author is even a "fanboy" of some variation poking fun at himself and his fellow fanboys. I found it amusing, some people in this thread found it amusing (where's that android trashcan?). It's not a call to war. Calm down and unclench that sphincter.

This is from the same magazine that rates Sprint so highly. They probably couldn't boot a PC themselves even if it were set to "Wake on LAN."

I resent the term android fanboy, I would be more accurately classified as a 16bit Nintendo Groupie. Just sayin'.

Lol. Like the term or not, frequent posters on an android forum defending it and praising it does indeed make you a fanboy, regardless of your disdain.

I wouldn't be caught dead owning a prius. I like my 8 cylinder power.
