Designed in Solidworks, Rendered in Keyshot. Don't have the money to send off for a prototype, but this would be super nice to have.

reduced weight to 20.1 grams and also made thiner and more gripable. Should be easier for headphone jacks too.

Yea.. I noticed that too. No openings for the ports or buttons. What you could do is edit it so there is an opening where the power button and volume rocker is and add metal buttons that stick out the holes but touch the buttons so you can press them. As well as make a opening in the bottom for the ports, and on the sides for the speakers. Also how thick is that?

how much is it to get it prototyped?

i would pay help pay for 2 prototypes if i could get one? (well depends how much though first)

Ill look into it, I need to just make one first because chances are there will need to be modifications that can only be realized once you hold the damn thing in your hand. Too many variables till I can test fit one to a triumph. Make a batch of 10 and none of them fit right would suck.

I might be able to get wood prototypes for testing purposes... I can talk to my old teacher and see if I can use the CNC and cut out a wooden prototype. That wouldn't be too bad price wise. And there would be no guarantee that I could, but I probably would be able too. And I could make some minor modifications and have access to solidworks and measuring tools.

cool, want me to send you an STL file? those tend to be the easiest to CNC with.

that would suck... i will also do research.

also, before giving out your idea to companies. get them to sign a confidentiality form before giving them the technical drawing

yup, or you can give a non editable STL file. Give the design, but no of the features can be imported. They would have to copy it by hand from scratch, which copanies do anyway by buying a product and copying it.

Mine's like this:

At the end of the head shell it reaches the edge of the Triumph, just so you know :)

yeah thats hard to work with, but I can make it larger on the back side of the hole so it maybe could come out the back. Sides would be hard because how much you would have to take out. a small 3-4mm jack extender would be perfect though to bring the connector just out to the hole.
