Expense Tracker

Hi folks,

I have this Ourgrocery app and totally love it. It is a grocery list app that can share a list to several phones. So for example, my wife can update the list on her phone and it will appear on mine as I'm dring to the store.

Here's my question--we live by a budget. We have a budget for gas, food and toys, ect. Every two weeks, we decide how much we are alloting for each expense. The obstacle we run into is that sometimes, I may pump gas and she may pump gas later that day and we don't find out how much is left until after we both get home.

Is there an app, similiar to the ourgrocery app (for example) where we can track our expenses and share the same synchonized list between multiple phones?

I am looking for the exact same type of budget/expense tracking app for my wife and I.

I was also going to ask about an app to share lists (gorcery, Sam's, etc), but it seems that Ourgrocery app you speak of is what I am looking for. However I can't seem to find it. Where is it, exactly?

I had just about given up on trying to find these apps and was going to make something work using gdocs, but I would prefer an app as I'm sure it would be much more user friendly.

Any help would be appreciated.

I found an app today that seems to fit the bill.

Its called "Easy Envelope Budget Aid"

Their website is eebacanhelp.com

I set my two phones up just a half-hour ago, so I can't comment extensively on it. But it seems like it is exactly what I (and you) were looking for.

I'm going to give it a try.

Now forum peoples... take note... this is the epitomy of how a forum should work! I have an idea, I ask the forum, someone else has a similar idea, he runs his search, finds an app and posts back.

Perfect! I've downloaded the app as well and is exactly what we're looking for. I will test the sync speed later. Ourgroceries syncs pretty fast so I'm hopeful this will too.

I have been using Hello Expense for the past couple of weeks and I think it is great for tracking every day expenses. You can set up different categories that fit your needs. The app shows your total spending and breaks it down further by week, month and individual categories. It is a free app. It does not sync but it may fit others needs like mine.

Thanks for the tip. I just installed it and looks like it will do great to keep up with expenses while out and about.
