Hi friends,

I see tht it takes so long to dial someone's number in A75. I do following steps to dial a contact's number (I am not a techie so plz advise if i am doing anything wrong)

(1)I click on phone icon on below strip near launcher. So phone app opens up.

(2)In phone app i touch on contacts tab.

(3)Type name of my contact.

(4)After entering the name... it comes up below.

(5)I touch the name so the details of that contact appears.

(6)Again i have to touch blue icon to call.

I reallyyyyyyyyyyy takes long time to do all these steps.

Are there any apps to call anyone quickly? also the phone is quite slow in doing above mentioned steps.

I turned off themes and used sim / phone contact list but it didnt helped much.

Thanks for replying but wht u mean by rooting? Whts updating? I thought only anti virus in laptop needs updates..

Rooting is like getting admin access for Windows, root access is the same for Android which is a derivative of Linux.

Recently Micromax released some updates for A75.

It would be wiser to root your phone (only if you understand what you are upto) so that you have much better control over your phone (presently you have end-user access).

I read tht thread.. but i guess rooting / flashing is too difficult to understand for non-tech people.. I would still want my dialer to speed up without rooting / flashing..

Have installed Go Contacts / Go Dialer, but it has its own pros and cons..

just one question :
can a man breath with his nose closed??
exactly ! how can you change default things with out root :p

Just kidding :D

you can have go launcher that is the only way then !!!

ya you can also set up a shortcut on ur homescreen for Direct calling any one :p

I think "ninadchaudhari" mentioned somewhere about Zeam Launcher, have a go at it:

https://market.android.com/details?id=org.zeam&hl=en

@ninad - Correct me if i am wrong !!

As always, its advisable to get rid of the default Micromax interface, if you need any sort of help (technical/non-technical) you can PM me or any other member of the forum, they would be glad to help.

sure,

Yup Zeam launcher is gr8 but it is a 'Launcher' :)
not a dialer ...
If any one uses it sure the overall speed will increase as the mmx launcher seems
shit.gif

Zeam launcher will exponentially increase the launcher experience [speed]

for increasing the dialer speed you need a different dialer than its present !

and ya sure help can be provided by pms but questions asked over forums stay as help for any one who is later in search for the same question :p , hence any help topic sure can be posted in general questions thread or even a entire new thread :p

Pardon me for my lack of knowledge.. but from wht i understand how rooting / flashing can increase speed of mobile phone micro processor? The phone dialer takes long coz the processor speed is low.. right?

Also how installing third party dialer can increase my dialling speed? (as its still same processor)

Operation of dialer is like child's play for Android's CPU !!
specially for a 650 Mhz !!
there may be probs with ur RAM being utilized by other apps :p
just try installing Zeam launcher and see the speed !
else MMX has spoiled the dialer app
just try another dialer app and other launcher (Zeam)

try :
1.) Install zeam
2.) set it as default launcher
3.) then try

Also Rooting itself will not increase the speed but helps in Increasing the speed as all things we need to do we need the ROOT access without it it is impossible to go deep inside the system and change something that will increase speed and/or battery :D

if you just install ROM ---> UB-A75-1 you will have Root + Speed + Battery ...

also i have completely removed that MMX launcher and added the Gingerbread default one :D

If you have not yet rooted your phone, use Go Dialer

else go to service center and get the update to A75 and then root your phone.
PLEASE FLASH USING
1.SP_Flash_Tool_exe_v2.1121.01.rar
2.mt65x3 usb vcom drivers.7z
3.Micromax A75 New Ver.rar (REPLACE SYSTEM.IMG FILE WITH UB-A75-1_v2.7z )

IT GOT SPEED FREE SPACE AND LOT
