Help update 2.3.6 my wallpaper won't pan from homescreen to homescreen

I have done this update and now my wallpaper won't pan from homescreen to homescreen.

My phone was working just find until this dumb update came along. It still working fine just my wallpaper won't pan from homescreen to homescreen. Is this happening to everyone else and did someone found a fix yet or is do I have to send my phone back to hsn for a replacement. If I do that is there a chance that this new update going to be reinstall on my replacement phone. i'm really thinking about getting a dumb fliphone and say the heck with smartphones.

where do you go to get to this screen that you show. I don' think i'm using the ADW. I'm on android 2.3.6 gingerbread.FA19

Adw is a home launcher, you would know if you installed it (app)... It was a thought

Are you using a background/wallpaper app? Some wallpaper apps have a feature to where you can select scrollable when you pick the wallpaper. Try reinstalling your wallpaper and see if the scrolling option comes up.

No the wallpaper that came with the phone. I have not add any new wallpaper to my samsung galaxy pervail.

Try to use a different wallpaper?
Go to gallery, choose any pic press menu> more> set as> wallpaper
It will let your size the wallpaper should be wider than tall,

Then see of it scrolls

I am having the exact same problem. I am not running any apps that change my wallpaper settings. I have tried deleting my current wallpaper and downloading it again. I have tried setting a different wallpaper and still nothing works. Did you ever get your wallpaper to pan correctly?

I've run into this issue as well and didn't notice it until I read this thread.

I upgraded to 2.3.6 as well. Looks like I'll need to use a third party app to get it back.

It's the update.
There's probably a way around it coming but I personally had too many issues and went back to and earlier version of gingerbread.

Thank you boost for not fully testing the updates before sending them ota.

No I have return this phone back to hsn for a new phone. I guess this update 2.3.6 really mess up the phone really bad. It also change the call and hangup buttons.. The best thing you can do is send it back for a new one and also don't install this update.

For the other post the photos also don't pan when set to wallpaper.
There is no rason anyone should have to do a reinstall of the o/s or go back to a older ver of the o/s is bs. I also don't like the boos zone that is b/s IT is samsung not testing the software for there phones. I wish they would post the updates on there websites and also google. Not just go ahead and install som outdated updates like 2.3.6. Right there is a newer update for this phone. I have talk to somone about this and they told me there is a newer update for this phone but I never got the newer update for this phone. I know i'm not going to install this andriod 2.3.6 on my replacement phone and going to check back to see if there any new bugs. I wish google out list the bugs that they do find on there website gee is that to much to ask.

You're doing it wrong. Adw's method to select the wallpaper is EXACTLY the same as stock.:thumbdown:
And it doesn't effect the use of ANYTHING:what:

I've ran ADW EX on 2 phones, the Prevail and a Marquee. IMO, it is by far the best launcher on the Android Market. You need to learn how to use it first though which really isn't that hard to do. It doesn't matter which launcher a phone comes with, ADW EX is replacing it if I own it.

I want to try ADW, but don't find a lot of free themes out there (at least not compared to GO Launcher). Is there a resource for free ADW themes other than what's on the market? Thanks.
