Marketing marketing marketing. They make you believe that not only do you want the device, you NEED the device. It's amazing. The only reason they publish any specs is because Android devices started to. They're very vague about a lot of the specs they do release because Android devices have them beat. When I started paying attention to technical specifications, that's when I stopped buying into the crap Apple was selling. They're good at what they do. They could sell cow manure to a dairy farmer.

iFixit is where I get my actual device specs. I like seeing the guts of these things.

Well, let's see: I have both kids with strep throat (which means my son is missing work AND his concert performances). Waiting on tires for my son's new 1985 VW Westy, trying to sell his 1982 Datsun 280Z 2+2 (if you're interested in a sports car, PM me ), Darling Bride is in bed not well, and I'm in the cross-hairs!

Meanwhile, Google Play is on my Nexus, works just fine. Still waiting on a horizontal dock to come in (but I'll probably just use my Capta instead).

+1, Apple has been brilliant in their marketing. They have tapped into the interpersonal psyche to be cool, hip and in; overriding all else. Many people believe what they are told without researching for themselves, wow, sounds like I am talking politics not Apple, lol.

not sure if anyone else is having issues with their Google wallet but had to share a phandroid phunny....
Just got off the phone with both money network and the Google wallet team...issue is still affecting some people, and they are hoping by the end of the week to have a resolution...????? The guy at money network was nicer...and said his wallet on his nexus has been down for a month and his is showing the same discrepancy with OS mysid #s that mine is, so he would let me know if he hears anything....and asked if I was a follower of phandroid, since info would probably be there before his boss told him about it....
Had to laugh at that one!!!!

Here's hoping that I don't get a lot of work to do tomorrow - looks like I am going to have to do a full wipe of Nyxie. Something borked tonight when trying to get the new market and now I have nothing. And I'm too tired and frustrated to troubleshoot tonight.

When you say wallet is down, what does that mean? Can you still open it in your phone? Mine was working until tonight. However, once I accepted the download of Google Play tonight, now when I open wallet, it is forcing me to update wallet. But than Play denies it due to the carrier. Is this what is happening to you?

Actually about a month ago I wiped my phone to go from AOKP m series to a b series ROM and that's what apparently did me in. Was working fine till then, but because I did a wipe, I am experiencing some issue with the mysid # in the app not matching the mysid on the phone so the prepaid system is completely broken for me....when I have tried to reload the prepaid card...prepaid is unavailable....
Apparently it will be fixed soon...I hope. I understand other people are seeing the same, but because I do not use CITI bank can't test the rest of the app on my phone.
I also understand others are having issues with the Google play site, and more carrier interaction and app refusals in the last day or so...which just gives our wonderful devs something to work on...right?
