I've been getting tons of ghost notifications lately, where I get a notification sound and my screen blinks (Missed Message Flasher), but I don't have any texts or messages. This has happened to me with one (possibly both) of my previous Android phones, but it was never this frequent. Is anyone else having this same problem?

On a related note, I called Boost support about the issue and was told that it is fairly common with Android phones and that I should do a factory reset which would apply a software update. I'm skeptical that this is true, but I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens.

*Update*
As I expected, the factory reset did nothing but cause the Boost Zone app to pop up during activation. I suspected that this recommendation was a ploy.

I'm no expert, but I haven't heard of that being a common problem. I would say that since you've already tried a factory reset, your best option would be to get your handset replaced.

When you did the factory reset, did you have the same problem before loading your apps back on?

Not sure about the apps. One of them could definitely be the culprit. Its happened on other phones before. The tech at Boost said it was fairly common, and I've had it with other Android phones before. Who knows? I just hope not missing any text messages. I guess we will see if some other people reply. I was thinking that it might have something to do with the app "Missed Message Flasher."

I wouldn't be surprised if that app was indeed the culprit. Have you tried uninstalling it for a while to see if your problem goes away?
