Root Rooting 2.3.6

Does anyone have rooted their 551 running on android 2.3.6? In rooting thread there was only tutorial for rooting 2.3.4 but as the newest OS is 2.3.6 then would be good if anyone were able to help me

I just downloaded the 7-zip file. It is 2.6 MB in size and is still working flawlessly .

yup bro its siez is 2.6 mb.
but im having some problm
i cant able to see root.7z file in sd through recovery,
i extracted Root.7z file whc contain two Apk files n one Root.zip but problm is this all files i mean Root.zip n Apk files are 0 mb in siez.

thn i kept Root.zip in sd thn i applyd update through recovry but its saying operation aborted (bad).

use winrar/7z on computer to unzip the file . It's simpler that way .

Perseus X is not a ROM to be used by anyone . It was a hobby/experimental ROM

hey thanx for this new version...i installed this today n ots works nicely...bt i want to know for rooting this rom...u provid 'root_2.7z' file can this file act as zip file which we update through sdcard in recovery mode...or use as making new zip file by exctracting this n then use for root...???

As I have mentioned earlier ,root.7z contains root.zip and the two apk files which were removed from /system to root .if you extract it you will find root.zip which needs to flashed via flah via sd card option .use 7z archier,winrar or archidroid to extract to 7z.

Yes you can. Arkas 1.6 is for gingerbread .
