So, I am really trying to get my battery to be saved as much as possible. Can you please help me out with the JuiceDefender Ultimate settings?

I want my Wi-Fi to enable and disable at certain times. (I think that I am doing that effectively through “Setting Profiles,” although, the Wi-Fi doesn’t always turn off in the morning when I leave my house, nor does it turn back on when I get home. However, yesterday, it did turn off at 5:00pm (as I had set).

Anyway, with JuiceDefender Ultimate, I think that I can have Wi-Fi turn off after the phone is idle for a minute, and I can get the Data to connect every 15 minutes in the background to receive e-mails, messages, and notifications. Am I right? How can I do that? I also saw something regarding a “Location” service in the program. Somehow it knows that when I leave my home (I guess work also) it will totally turn off my Wi-Fi?

i have JuiceDefender Ultimate also
first if you dont have get the beta it works much better and is updated more
just uninstalled juice not
JuiceDefender Ultimate then installed beta ,then restore your settings, what i would do before doing all this is make sure you have all your settings right and back it up then your set to go,as far as wifi let juice controlled it like the other person said you also can set up night mode and also have it go into airplane mode thats what i did and as far as location it does not work that good so your better just having juice shut it off for you its like 1 min and it shuts off if you dont want a wifi place it picks up and also its good to enable boot workaround helps juice start up faster and last disable the enable after unlock faster to have it start as soon as you awake your cell ,hope that helps you a little better

you want to be using advanced profile that way you have control of all the settings , then under wifi you may have to look for it but you ll see it ,set it up to be enable for wifi then enable auto disable you might have to train it by turning on wifi once or twice then you be all set once in a while it may not go on but it set up to try again in 15 mins i ll go to work all day then get home get on my cell and it turns on this set up my wifi under battery never goes more then 2%
remember what i told you about beta if not you should be using it but remember beta is the juice defender app download it then uninstalled the other but keep JuiceDefender Ultimate because thats a addon to have the extra settings make sure you do a backup before uninstalled that way you can restore your settings , do the setup first with the old version back up then unstall if you read the post on beta lots of people say beta better and updates more i been using betas for 6 months and have not had any problems at all and it is right at the market

I now have my location set-up, however, I think that my battery is not getting the same benefit as it was before.

My Wi-Fi connection used to shutdown when my screen was off and turn on only when I turned my screen on. Now, it stays on while I am at work. Is this more beneficial?

hi Dankees
you have your settings wrong , i told you not to use location it does not work right, thats why things are not right. if you do the setup i told you about then wifi will shut off afer a min if you not usung that spot, also like kicksilver is saying if you have data set to check every five mins thats not helping you also , i have my set to check every two hours ,you can do every 30 mins or hour if you want, like i said set it up like this you want to be using advanced profile that way you have control of all the settings , then under wifi you may have to look for it but you ll see it ,set it up to be enable for wifi then enable auto disableand your wifi will come on when you need it to, you also can go to juice defender website and they have pics of what i am trying to tell you , hope this helps you a little more

I've used juice defender ultimate for a while now on my bionic, and the difference is night and day. My battery would be dead by days end, everyday, no matter what. With JD Ultimates advanced profile, and all the things i can tweak, it's insane how much of a difference my battery consumption has seen since using. All I know from my experience is, no it's not better to keep ur data connections constantly on. They're the biggest drain on battery. If u really are going in every 5 minutes and JD is turning data/Wi-Fi on and off every time, then yeah keep it on. But who does that? I use my phone quite a bit during a day, but if I get off it, I'll keep it off for a while that's for sure. Night mode is crucial too

i'm confused, are you saying JD beta is better than JD Ultimate? i'm using JD ultimate now on my HTC Desire C. I got the Beta at googleplay since it's free, then got the ultimate at 4shared.com. so far, it's working for me. i can get 2 or 2.5days of my battery in moderate use (i use night mode and airplane mode while sleeping). i text a lot, and still JD really is up to saving my batt. but when i am at the office i use wifi a lot, or play NFS Shift which really consumes my battery. but what's your say on beta vs ultimate? which is really better?

hi Gods_Pianist
what i was saying is about the free version not JD Ultimate the beta of free version gets updated more then the sable version does
but i have to say i been using green power pro on my maxx and it works better with ics and that dev is always updating his app and with jb around the corner its better to have a app that is being updated to make it better jd has not been updated for almost a year and they just updated the beta a couple of months ago

oh..ok.i uninstalled my JDbeta (but not the ultimate i got from 4shared.com:D) just because i read a sidenote from the developer on the playstore that JDbeta is not yet as stable and have some bugs..so now, i installed the free version to run the ultimate..and i'm now starting fresh..observe battery performance again with this new setup. also, i noticed on JD is that battery saved estimate (what do you call that gauge?) bar is not constant..most of the time, it's just in 1.something % of battery saved..then there are times that it skyrockets to 2.something %, i was glad when it reached 2.22%..wished that i could've maintained on that status. hehe..i dunno if there's a setting that will further increase battery life without sacrificing much of our smartphones' features.because what is a smartphone if the features will be limited?
