I bought a new Evo View 4G yesterday and am loving it! The screen is huge compared to my Evo 4G phone and makes surfing the web much more enjoyable.

I've rooted using Revolutionary, installed CWM, made nandroid backups and removed bloatware. There also seems to be a nice battery in this thing, I'm getting around 12 hours with moderate use. I'm wondering why there aren't more ROMs available for this tablet.

I haven't upgraded tp Honeycomb and probably won't, I'll take Gingerbread over Honeycomb any day.

Does anyone know if ICS will be made available for the Evo View 4G?

It'd be tight if they did. 12 hours on brand new device? I get 23 hours and up easily on heavy use. Are you using it as a wifi only? If yea you should turn off all mobile network in the settings

Sent from my HTC EVO View using Tapatalk.

Nope, using 4G only. These batteries get better over time so my battery life will go up as I use it. At least that's what I've seen on the last four android devices I've owned.

I got mine less than a week ago and I am very happy with buying the View Tablet.

I upgraded to Honeycomb because I have been using Gingerbread for a long time and wanted to try something new.

One slight gripe I have is I can see small electronic lines and dots on the screen at certain angles.

Those dots are part of what makes the pen work with this tablet. I don't like them either but I hardly ever see them.
