Root problem with 2.1 install

I am new to the whole rotting thing, I installed the bugless beast on my droid 2 days ago and everything went great and it worked fine, I'm just having an issue with it being really lagy at times and the biggest problem is that it freezes everytime I open or close the keyoard, I have to forse close and wait for it to load everything up again, a message is desplayed and it says:

The application launcher+(process android.process.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Then I hit forse close, it usually only happens when I open or close the keyboard but sometime it will happen at random. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it. Thanx for helpin the newby.

It might be the launcher app. You could try installing a different/newer version of the ROM or a different ROM and see if that helps the situation. You could also try some different kernels, but I would recommend a different version of the ROM that may be using a different launcher.

Don't use launcher+ or any other homescreen replacement. All of em suck. Just use the one in Pete's ROM you won't have any problems.

I've tried launcher+ Home++ sweeter home2 openhome like 5 different versions of Launcher2 and modified and themed 2.0.1. They all lagged and crapped out on me. If its an installed apk from the SD it's going to suck. No matter what other people say, it's still slower and less stable.

You shouldn't have to reinstall the ROM, just unistall Launcher+. If not try doing the Nandroid Recovery again, and make sure you wipe the partition/cache first. Do advanced, and select all options.

Are you using the ERE25? If so did you Nandroid? If you are, and you didn't, you should have.

I had similar problems with Launcher+ on Bugless Beast (version 0.2 beta of the ERE25 Base I believe was the last version I tried). I am now running UltimateDroid 5.0 and have not had a single FC with Launcher+ using that rom. There are many people that say the UltimateDroid rom is a re-themed copy of Bugless Beast but it has performed better than Bugless Beast for me personally (don't bring those Pete vs. Blackdroid comments here...there are other threads for those discussions).

I am a fan of both roms and I use the Ultimate rom due to the launcher+ issues.
