How do you install Drew Walton's recovery if the phone already has clockwork mod? OK, I did it by moving the new .ing to my phone in USB mode and installing after updating to the latest rom.

Long time lurker and IHO Backside User, first time poster! I am having trouble with the latest build (0313) in getting my notification dropdown to skin correctly. Other than that, LOVING the ROM. Just switched to CWMT recovery! Keep up the fantastic work guys!

PS - New Quicksilver looks AMAZING on my Star Wars modded V

PPS - Didn't notice it in the last builds, but I like the option to enable/disable the boot sound!

I have tried BOTH of those... To no avail! Can I put it in the system folder somewhere for more stability, instead of pulling it from the SD Card?

Just wanted to report in on a problem I've had with the latest build after running it for a few days straight. For some reason, the mobile hotspot functionality seems to stop working after a few days. By this I mean that if I have run the phone for a couple of days and go to switch on the mobile hotspot functionality, it appears to turn on, but no devices are able to connect. I tried toggling wifi, hotspot, and airplane mode and nothing besides restarting seems to fix the issue. Not sure if anyone else is running into the same issue.

When I adjust the cpu speeds do they adjust automatically or do I need to reboot or anything??

Something else I am noticing is that each time I reboot, I have to reenter my Fb and Dropbox log-in info.

Make sure those apps are on the phone and not on the sdcard. That usually fixes those issues.

Well I'm happy to say that I did a total wipe and format with this update and I no longer have the double lock-screen issue.


There is something else I'm trying to figure out. I use Vlingo with Handscent SMS. I can not get Vlingo to read my text messages anymore. This was from several updates ago of the BACKside ROM I think.
I've changed so much, Like using Link2SD and some other programs.
When I re-installed the apps this time I made sure to keep Vlingo and Handscent on the internal memory. It still fails to read my texts.

Any thoughts from anyone? Vlingo issue, Handscent issue, BACKside ROM????

Never tried Vlingo, I would suggest checking their website/forums for similar issue being already reported.

I took a quick look yesterday and was not seeing anything helpful.....

Just got it figured out.
Vlingo only works with the stock messaging app.
So I had to go to the settings in Handscent and under the Default Messaging Application, which I had check for it to handle all SMS & MMS messages (at some point I guess I did not have that check since it used to work and then stopped for me) and check disable instead. Handscent still works exactly as it did in the past, but now Vlingo reads my texts. Awsome... just like BACKside!

Hey Jerry I'm a big fan of your work. I tryed out the new suspend mode from your latest build (20120313) and noticed a funny thing happened. I woke up thinking that the new features would stay the same or barely drop when actually it rose from 61% to 67% overnight! Hey Jerry, love the new build. I saw in another board that IHO maybe laced with 'amphetamines', but I wasn't sure what those scripts actually do, could you maybe elaborate a bit? I originally had used the V8 stuff, but it was so wonky i stopped using it after the 0131 build.

Remember, your battery stats are not accurate for a couple of days after flashing a new build. Takes time for the stats to average out.

One thing I am having trouble with is the color scheme of the Phone app. When I dial a # manually, there is a green background under the gray entered numbers, making it difficult to see if I have entered the correct # or not. I am not currently using any themes. Please help.

This last build 03132012 is really running best of any so far.
I did not give the wife much of a choice in flashing her phone with the 03132012 build and making her phone more custom to her with the following theme:

Hmmm, need some input here. Should it be the same colors as the dialpad numbers/background, or separate options for each?
