This is getting ridiculous! We have not gotten an update since the day this phone launched and we have nexus phones! This phone is filled with bugs including some that conflict with my corporate exchange activesync policy... not fun!!

I have posted multiple bugs on googles support site that techs have confirmed have been fixed in the new update... Yet we still haven't gotten it! Is anyone else as frustrated as I am?

(please don't respond with posts telling me to root or unlock boot. My phone is company property)

Other than custom ROMs, who else has 4.0.4? Who else has anything beyond the 4.0.2 that we have?

Oh, that's right, no one.

Pump your brakes, we still have the most up to date version of Android.

everyone please attack the issue, not each other, or each others posts!

the updates are always worked on the make sure all bugs that have been reported are fixed, and then they have to prepare their servers for a mass upload to all phones, be patient bud, we still have the most up to date version that no one else has, there may be more fixes than we know of.

dont forget, they do extensive testing before they push it out

I would like to add: The Nexus has had 4.0.3 (VZW) since 2 weeks after launch. Mine came with 4.0.1 and updated immediately to 4.0.2. Then I got a replacement 10 days after launch day (bad screen; it happens) and within days I had stock 4.0.3 pushing to my phone.

Here is my point: 4.0.3 was announced as the "base" of ICS on all devices shortly after we got it (VZW customers got it before anyone else did, btw). And the 4.0.4 leaked ROM that I am running tells me that Google is working on updating us. I have been running it for at least a month now; with an updated bootloader and the new radios.

For those that don't want to risk unlocking and rooting, I understand that it feels like a long time! Heck, sometimes I scream at the Mountain View, CA skies "When???????" And I'm fully unlocked and rooted!

OP, just know that it is sooooooo much less of a wait than any device out there, currently, on the market. And if you get antsy, you can backup your SD Card, unlock your bootloader, root this thang and run 4.0.4 with me! Then we can chat over in the All Things Root section. :)

Now I am rooted and unlocked so I am a tinkerer who likes updates RITE NOW. However I've worked in business and used business phones and understand rooting is not an option for you.

Now the update is coming and we think google is working hard on it. This is less of the important thing. Would you be less antsy if google had a blog they were updating letting us know the progress? The company is huge to pay one person to handle public relations on updates such as a blog with limited information I would be much more satisfied. But we havent even heard a thing since the last update besides some 4.0.4 updates rolling around the internet who knows if it's official.

What world are you living in that we have already had 4.0.3 pushed onto our phones???

You guys need to get apart of the rooting and ROMing community if you are need it nownownow.

I already am running a 4.0.4 Stock Rooted ROM and I have a 4.0.4 Radio as well. In fact I'm 100% 4.0.4

Signal increased.. Was getting 90 DBM and now 80s.

LTE is faster especially inside buildings or bathroom stalls where speed would cut in half before.

Speakerphone voice quality still sucks unfortunately.

Phone seems smoother and a better experience.

Couple that with Francos Kernel if you wish.. That is the current reigning kernel champ for the Nexus.

You can always use the OTA whenever it comes. It's not like you can't use the OTA when it comes out if you wish to switch back.

Did you not read the OP saying he cant root because the phone belongs to his company?

And not post just root and rom...

I wasn't referring to him I was referring to the frustrated community as a whole and I wasn't going to create a new thread for it.

Here is the ROM:

[ROM]IMM30B 4.0.4 Stock,rooted,deodexed,zipaligned,busybox,insecure boot + mods zips

[ROM]IMM30B 4.0.4 Stock,rooted,deodexed,zipaligned,busybox,insecure boot + mods zips - xda-developers

The rom includes the 4.0.4 radio..

Know how to revert back to 4.0.2 in case it doesn't work well for you.

Results have been very consistent for this rom and radio. Much better than 4.0.2.

4.0.3 two weeks after launch?

Funny my nexus is still on 4.0.2 three months after launch.

Can you tell verizon they missed me in the 4.0.3 update rollout.

Thanks

Wow. Maybe I unlocked and rooted before 4.0.3 was official, if ever. My memory is bad. Remember not to attack me please, and my world. I have been wrong before. So, for those on unmodified devices, you haven't gotten 4.0.3? VZW, of course!

Word of warning. If you have google wallet installed and configured make sure you remove the bits in the secure element and uninstall it before you put on another rom. Thats how I baked the secure element on my phone.

good looking out, what do you mean you baked the secure element? did it actually fry whilst inside the phone? or something else? like something with the system?
