If you press +->shortcut->settings->running services, you will get a shortcut to be able to kill any app running in android. This is factory not a ad on.

OTD this one for you, kind of a special shout out^. I don't use it but I thought I would show all the killers out there how to do it right!

so when sense gets "killed" how do you "revive " it ?

I turned my Sense and it is now Undead so now task killer can ever attempt to hurt it again.

Seriously though, if it is killed with something like ATK it will force close and restart....a lot.

So this begs the (rhetorical) question: Why would there be a built in way to kill tasks if the o/s managed everything automatically just fine on it's own? Sure seems to throw that theory out the window, doesn't it?

Same reason Windows has a Task Manager, your car has a spare tire, guys have tools in the garage, and girls carry "those things" in their purse - Just in Case

I just find it hysterical that you guys get so freaked out about them. It is just a stick of cardboard and cotton, not a grenade.:p

lmao!! :)
me and my two boy cousin grow up in a house of 7 women so...i feel u..BUT! :)
i guess its the psychological part that tells our brain that something will not be going down (well maybe) and you may be a lil moody... :D

Well, unfortunately, I don't think this feature is going to keep me from using ATK. My phone was kind of sluggish this morning, and battery life lost about 20% in about an hour, no texts, no calls, just browsing around for about 10 min.

I went into this setting and saw 4 things running: [Google] GTalkService, [Calendar] ObexService, [Touch Input] TouchInput, and [Google Voice] UpdateService, all of which have been up for the last 10 hours. So, just for fun, I loaded up ATK and found a whole slew of crap running. Of course, much of it stuff I never opened, like Footprints, Messages, Mail, Browser, etc. Memory was down to 25MB.

Now, I just got up after a restful 10 hours of sleep, so aside from the fact that I never launched a bunch of those, none of that was auto-killed either...
