Looking for a peep on the 2.1 Update.

Since the initial HUGE response to the "Leaked too early (premature) news from Motorola of the Motorola Droids update to 2.1 A silence has fallen over any release information.

Looking for a peep or light at the end of the tunnel on this!

Where is the speculation, conjecture or rumors on the OTA to 2.1 update for the Motorola Droid? When?

This is unusual, as we all know the internet is based on rumor and conjecture and if we don't have that we don't have an internet.

Save the Internet and start giving out some nascent conjecture...err I mean information

I imagine most people who were interested in the update simply decided to take the plunge and root. Once rooted, the update doesn't seem as important.

I thought this and went through the rooting and loaded a few roms and unrooted promptly all in an hour time. I am completely happy with stock and can not wait for this update. Rooting was not worth my time IMHO. Live wallpapers I see now are a simple gimmick and not needed so I am no longer worried about that.

Honestly, I am more of a forum voyeur than poster at this point, but through being a Peeping Tom (yes my name is Tom) I have found you to be one of the most level-headed, and knowledgeable "peeps" on here. So if you say it is Tuesday, I will be jumping out of my skin Monday night.

Plus I probably will cancel my plan to finally grow some balls and root this weekend!

Well, Tom ... I guess I have to tell you the whole story. (I've been sent a few PMs on my statement as well.)

Someone I know claims they know somebody with "the inside scoop". I only half believe him ... so it's just another speculation at this point. But if he's right, I come out looking like a Rock Star, right?
