is there anyway to turn off auto-lock?

Thanks. Been there done that. The ICON is on my home screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. I tap the ScreenMode icon on my homescreen. It goes to a dark screen with one check box about notification and an an OK box. I have checked and unckecked the box then hit OK and I go back to homescreen and restart the process. No options anywhere.

This did the trick. I was just moving the app icon. This is a good example of the learning curve issues. I just moved to the Droid and this small distinction is now a permanent part of my knowledge. I spent 2 hours messing with it myself. This was a great help. Thanks. I am delighted to avoid the slider unlock step. I also have learned that when installing some apps, I was getting "not enough room" on the screen. Some apps need multiple rows and columns of space to install. Thanks again.

I downloaded the Screen Mode app and installed it. When I tap the widget icon, it takes me to a settings screen. I have tapped it and it always does the same thing. I have not found a way to access the options. Am I missing something or is my app not working properly?

If you haven't figured it out yet, each click of the widget is one of your three options. This is a good app but I too wish it only worked via the power button or keyboard slide.

Mylock is ok, but I don't like that it still shows the lock screen, sometimes for a couple seconds, before it goes to the home screen.

Screenmodewidget is much faster to get to the home screen.

I would like to see screenmodewidget add the feature that mylock has that only skips the lock screen when the button is pushed and not when the phone slides open.

Had it for two days now, it's actually working even better after a reboot. Definitely a great app, it works and it's free.

It may lag for like a second on the lock screen but the dev says it's not a myLock problem, it's kind of like when you have the lock on, sometimes it lags...I dunno but it doesn't bother me much, waiting a second instead of having to swipe the lock is definitely better imo.

See, I only want to be able to shut of the screen lock when I'm sitting at my desk, listening to music. If I"m walking around and my phone is in my pocket, I want it to continue locking.

What I really wanted, actually, was a widget that would be accessible on the lock screen, that would allow me to give Pandora a thumbs up, thumbs down or skip-- preferably something that would know whether I was listening to Pandora or the stock music player and give me the appropriate options for whatever I'm using. I don't mind turning the screen on to make selections, but then having to unlock on top of that was a PITA. This, with having a widget for each of my music programs all on one screen, is close enough. Just gotta remember to re-lock it when I get up from my desk.
