This will not add the 2.1 functionality to your phone, but it will make your phone look similar.
Their are apps in the market that help with this.
First and easiest step is optional, but works a lot smoother. turning off Sense helps Better Cut works smoother.
Add apps to your homescreen
1. Ok, first you can pick a 2.1 or 2.0 wallpaper and set it as your background.
2. Download: (Icon Pack- Android 2.0) From the market
3. Then Purchase Better Cut from the Market, this will allow you to change your icons. On the 3 (or 7, if using sense) the apps can be changed to any .png image. However you can download an icon pack with 2.1 icons. The apps in the drawyer will not have the icons, but on the home screen it will.
4. Open better cut.
A. click Edit shortcut
B. select the application you want to edit
C. On the top it should show a pic of the app and say change icon, click that
D. Click pick from Icon Pack
E. It will show the icon pack you downloaded from the second step.
F. Select the icon you want to change it too.
G. Click Create.
Your done.
Now repeat those steps for all the apps you want to change.
Also this is optional but cool as well.
Their is a free version of: Lockbot or the paid version: Lockbot Pro
This allows you to get the 2.1 flan, or eclair Lockscreen.
You can change the wallpaper,etc and use the android pattern.
The free version gives you a numeric password but doesn't allow you to customize, or use a pattern.
