Does the Note come with a 4G SIM card?

I am receiving a Note tomorrow (free with no contract - yay!) and I wanted to replace my old BlackBerry. I know I will need a new SIM card for the LTE so I couldn't use my existing BlackBerry SIM, and I also know that the data plan will need to change from the BlackBerry plan to a 4G LTE plan.

I'm curious as to whether or not a SIM card is included in the box so that all I would need to do is to install the SIM and call AT&T? I know that I've seen AT&T phones packaged with a SIM card. This way, all I would have to do is call AT&T to provision it correctly. However, if it does not include a SIM card, then I'll need to visit an AT&T store I suppose.

I actually already have a HTC Vivid and this Note will become a second phone. I had my choice of any available phone out there and I decided to choose the Note. Hope I made the right choice!

If I recall, it did not. I was at the store anyway and if I remember, they had to go back to get me an LTE SIM.

Honestly, I would visit a store anyway. They can make sure everything is good and you can verify all is working and get face-to-face verification. Even though Customer Service over the phone can do it, it's always good to be on hand when making major changes like that so you can make sure they keep things straight.

If you have a non-LTE card, you can always slip it in, but you won't get any data, just voice/text unless you are on WiFi.

Thanks for the response. I thought I remembered my HTC Vivid had the sim card in the box and he took it out and put it in the phone. Maybe I'm mistaken. You're right though, probably safer to just bring it to a store since I'll also need my data plan changed. I want to make sure my contract isn't extended either. :) Good tip - I'll just insert my non 4G sim card in the interim so I would at least get calls and texts.

Just an update - the box actually DID have a sim card in it. I inserted it into the phone and what the heck, thought I'd give a call to 611 to give it a try - but it was a total and complete disaster. I told them to don't do anything and I'll go to a store. LOL! Serves me right!

Ouch. I know how you feel though.

Hope they didn't screw anything up! :D

Yup, I avoid the phone support any time I can. ESPECIALLY with account changes. :D

Glad you got it all sorted out!

phone support isnt that bad, but it did screw us over...they told my grandfather who doesnt even know what data is, that i dont go over 300 mb a month so i should switch to the 300 mb plan from the 2gb plan, and then they hit him with overages and i had to switch to the 3gb plan. but they did get me an early upgrade+ i didnt have to pay the 250 price to early upgrade. and im 6 months away from upgrading.
