Help Wont turn on or charge

i was on myphone the other day when all of a sudden the screen went black. i tried hitting the power button and the phone showed the battery as charging, even though i was not hooked up to a charger. then it went off again. since then i cannot turn it on. i tried plugging it in and nothing....tried to reset the phone....nothing...what do i do?

Try to boot into download mode... if you can, reflash it with Odin ... if you can't return the phone for a new one if its still new enough or call Samsung for them to fix it...

I am having the EXACT same problem, just wondering if you ever got it fixed or if someone knows how to bypass the battery just so I can rule that in or out?
